We both agree he will likely end up at a top 6 team, apparently we enquired in January but was put off by the asking price.......shame because he will only get better.

Whatever that asking price was in January, it will be a whole lot lower this summer.

(Not as low as Evans though. From WBA turning down £25m+ bids, to being available for £4m now I think due to his relegation clause.)

Evans for £4 million would be a bargain. Sadly the Top 6 will be straight onto that!

Didn't our new owners say they wanted a mixture of younger players and PL players? I still like the current model we have, but wouldn't be adverse to have a few PL players (not older than 30) in the team.

My Stoke mate, who streams every match, reckons he is very inconsistent, always blaming others and moaning etc.
I get the impression that what we see of him, from the outside, is what others see, from the outside, when they are looking at Tadic.
I wouldn’t be against it though.

Get him in to replace Redmond then. At least we'd have some goals to talk about instead of just the moaning and blaming others.

Redmond has been much better under Hughes. Hopefully he'll have a good Summer and kick on next season.

I've heard as much but I'll be honest, I haven't seen enough of his play under Hughes.

I'm afraid that for me he is one of the players who just hasn't delivered over the last two years. I'd be happy to see him moving on, as much for his public 'character' and attitude as for football shortcomings. I want to see us return to harmony and togetherness. I'm a rainbows and daisy chains and raindrops on roses kind of guy.

Flair players are very often inconsistent, but you really must have them in your team.

I think there is some rose tinted glasses here. He was ok against Cherries, good against Everton, poor against Swansea.

Not awful. Not really markedly improved.

I don’t think we was poor against Swansea, worked hard and was a good outlet.

But I think people are looking at Alex with rose tinted specs. I would like to add that I think he’s been very good.

It was only 2 years ago Saints fans were clamouring for FF to be England no.1...

Our conveyor belt of talent from the academy seems to have dried up - or are they just not being given a chance ? - home-grown players like McQueen, Hesketh, Sims seem to be marginal to the squad. Even JWP is an infrequent starter. Who are the next big hopes from the academy ?
