West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is wanting to spend big on three strikers and two midfielders in order to push for a top six place.
United are in talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for midfielder Francis Coquelin with a view to a full time deal in the summer.
The second midfielder is set to be Marseille player Mathieu Valbuena. The 28 year old has apparently been begging to play in the Premier League and Upton Park is set to be his destination.
The first of the strikers is set to be Youssef El-Arabi. The 25 year old former Caen player currently plays in Spain for Granada.
Allardyce is also keen on a surprise move for Bristol Rovers forward David Clarkson. The former Motherwell and Bristol City attacker has always been admired by 'Big Sam' and feels his energy could add something to United.
The third and final forward set to join is another lower league player. Scunthorpe forward Mike Grella has also been tracked by Allardyce for a long time and could seal a 18 month contract with United.
