We don't really need him no. Would he improve the squad? Yes he would but Andy Stockhausen has said the club are not interested. So we can brush that name under the carpet. Someone on OTIB has said we are still interested in Ayling and a deal could still be done with a player going in the opposite direction. IMO Brendan Moloney's days are numbered here and he would be the only player that would make any sense to swap Ayling with.
Someone has just messaged me on twitter saying we are interested in Gillingham striker Cody McDonald.....
Think SC will go for a bigger more powerful striker than McDonald, getting another baldock type player in may hold up wes burns progress, he looked good in central role playing for Wales. Also think we may have a few trialists at the club this week.
01 Jul 2014 22:44:43 Bristol City are currently in talks with former USA international Freddy Adu. After a failed trial earlier in the year at Blackpool, Freddy is keen to prove himself in England and Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill is keen to offer him a one year deal.
Yeah he was supposed to be the best thing to grace the game! I swear we are linked to him every transfer window!
02 Jul 2014 01:39:36 Elliot Parish of Bristol City has been offered a trial period with Cheltenham Town. The recently transfer listed goal keeper is looking for first team football and Town are interested in his services. The fee discussed for the transfer would be minimal. Many clubs currently sniffing around Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams. This after ssn broke the news he has clause in his contract that he can activate to leave the club. Several promotion chasing championship sides are in the running for his signature. A couple of League One sides also but a move to the championship would interest him more.
The latest news from that site...load of waffle.. 02 Jul 2014 15:03:31 Bristol City are set to sign Martin Paterson from Huddersfield Town on a free transfer. Paterson is currently undergoing a medical in Bristol and a deal is expected to be completed before the day is out. 02 Jul 2014 09:38:36 With David Marshall staying at Cardiff, expect Bristol City to sign keeper Simon Moore on a season long loan
03 Jul 2014 09:21:17 Bristol City have made 5 signings so far - 2 more expected before the start of the season. The loan deal with Cardiff for Simon Moore appears imminent, and the club are talking to a couple of centre halves. One is Nyron Nosworthy, but wages may well prove to be a stumbling block
Would have liked us to have signed the guy who played against us at the gate last season, played for Tranmere and believe he was on loan from Everton?, tall, mobile, quick and strong, just can't think of his name? Thought he was excellent.
Actually it was jake Cassidy who was on loan from wolves, and they are looking to loan him out again for the season to a leading division one side, he scored a great goal against us and would have been a great addition.
