Mo Eisa will be taking the place, alongside Diedhiou when he signs. Taylor’s and Wienans chance would of been during the 6 game ban.
Taylor’s looked like a nasty knock and hopefully he came of as a precautionary action rather than damaged.

What did you think of the Finnish keeper
Didn’t see the goal as my Grandaughter wanted the toilet so can’t comment on that.
Very vocal and organising and kept the ball in play when taken goal kicks etc. Not really the best to judge him on as the Spanish team only created soft chances of what I saw. Plus they seemed to like diving a lot around. The ref was bad but at least not to stupid to be taken in by that.
I liked Webster who played all the game, and also Pring who played about last 30 minutes of the second half at LB. Marley Watkins didn’t seem to involved unlike Elliasson who looked lively.

Reactions: Red Robin
We needed a change defensively as we conceded far to many goals last season. Frankie is a great shot stopper, no question about that and I won’t join the slagging him off brigade, but the questions are his flapping at crosses and worse still his distribution, it’s terrible. Not the end of the world if he stays but for my money if we want to push on to be top 6 we need a new keeper.

Are you sure smhbcfc ?
Looked on their site and no mention of Steele just a big splash on their new keeper on loan from Man Utd - Dean Henderson.
No mention of Steele, Simon Moore was last season's No 1.
I thought FF was going back to Lancashire buy can't see if he's signed anywhere.
Yes think I got this wrong - could have swore I read it - must be old age!!!

City land Eisa from Cheltenham

City have completed the signing of Mo Eisa from Cheltenham Town for an undisclosed fee.
The striker has agreed terms on a three-year deal at Ashton Gate, with the option of a further 12 months.
Eisa attracted interest from several clubs over the summer, having netted 25 goals in 50 appearances for the League Two outfit last season.
However, the 24-year-old opted for a move south to BS3 and City’s chief executive Mark Ashton said: “We are thrilled to have signed Mo. He was in superb form in the last campaign and we hope he can make another step up in the football ladder.
“He is tall, athletic, a proven finisher and we believe he can become even better with the help of our coaching infrastructure.”
Eisa was playing for Isthmian League Greenwich Borough a year ago before signing his first professional contract at Whaddon Road last summer and going on to land Cheltenham Town's Player of the Year award.

Newcastle United’s move for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan ‘is on’
I think joe could be a city hero / cult figure if he stays could lead the team and in 3 years time be part of the England team! going to a team like Newcastle easily be in the back waters in less than a year

I'm very hopeful of the lad from Cheltenham.
GJ brought mostly good players in his time to City.
If Eisa is half as successful as Marvin and Basso then we might have a gem.

Seems a cracking deal if this is true. surely should have got in on this deal-seems to me city were not interested.

Derby County have agreed a deal to sign Peterborough United star Jack Marriott as one of the summer's longest-running transfer sagas begins to draw to a close.

Whilst the fee is undisclosed, several news outlets have reported that the Rams will pay Peterborough an initial fee between £2m and £3m, rising to £5m in add-ons.

It is a price that is lower than the £6m many thought Peterborough were asking for Marriott and could risk disappointing fans of other clubs interested in Marriott.

Bristol City , for example, are known to have had a bid turned down for Marriott before the Robins instead signed Mo Eisa for £1.5m.

If true, that would be a good, comparatively low-risk transfer for a player who, despite being untried at this level, has just come off the back of a red-hot season and just might have the potential to play in the Premiership.

Time will tell, but if this is true and he's a success, whereas Eisa spends a lot of time on the bench, this will be used to knock the club and LJ, though how much would we have needed to pay to get him to pick us over Derby?

There was something that didn't fit for me in the supposed Marriott transfer and I have this gut feeling he will be unimpressive for Derby. If you look at our deal for Eisa in the same light as the potential deal for Marriott I believe we will come out on top in the value for money stakes.

Maddox joined the Premier League club from his hometown side Bristol City and has won FA Youth Cup and Uefa Youth League titles at Stamford Bridge.
interesting …….… now on loan at Cheltenham, from Chelsea!
not seen if Tammy is out on loan this season yet?
