So yes, you'd pick him ahead of Reid & Diedhiou? Considering their goals to game ratios, I don't think many will agree with you.
a striker hits the ground running and stays in the team
a striker hits the ground running gets injured and has to fight back in
a striker after injury may take a while to settle in and does so usually from the bench
a striker on the bench may find it difficult to actually get game time unless another striker is injured
a striker is usually all about goals

true of all positions to a point

I am not saying he is the best just pointing out of all positions the striker is hardest to get game time if there are 4 or 5 of them and you only play 1 or 2

It is true, which is why I'm suggesting that Taylor will have a hard time dislodging two players, one of whom was our player of the season and the other still managing a very respectable goal return, despite being out for a significant period with injury himself.

I hope Taylor can have a bolt out the blue season and score 20+ like Reid did, but at this point in time, I don't see justification for him picked ahead of the other two and he'll have to make the most of the opportunities he is given.

Interesting that many on hear think that Darren Moore deserves a shot at WBA with next to no managerial experience of note, yet one of the main gripes against LJ was he didn’t have the experience to manage us when he was appointed (I view I supported at the time). So do some people think we are bigger than WBA? Just saying.....

Bristol City eyeing up Southampton youngster
Bristol City are resigned to losing Joe Bryan this summer - with Burnley, Everton and Aston Villa all chasing.
But they have already lined up Southampton academy graduate Sam McQueen as his replacement.
McQueen, who made his full debut at the San Siro, hasn’t been able to find regular football at St Mary’s with Ryan Bertrand blocking his path.

Yes but still not a big club, but how I wish we could emulate them. How many clubs can you think of that are in the same mould as us when it comes to attendances and so forth and yet we cannot come close to their achievements for some excuse or another. Get out and do it I say and I'm sure we are about to hear the statement that we are prepared for the fight and will arrive some time next year.
