Redprintt: LJ is now contemplating selling our best players this summer, none of whom he brought to the club.

I read this argument time and again from the detractors (can't say haters - apparently it's childish), but what has that got to do with it. He may not have bought them but he has certainly progressed them, I don't recall Reid, Flint and Bryan being touted for the Prem for millions of pounds under Cotterill, yet under the coaching of LJ they are now, you can't have the argument both ways!!

Dress it up all you like LJ's made, in the main, terrible signings.
And now we sell to make good his mistakes.
NOT TRULY SO........ LJ basically says yes or no to what has been lined up by the ASHTON CONSORTIUM! he is the coach not the manager so his job is to get on with it

'First it was WBA, now it's Swansea. who else is supposedly going to want him?'

Paulton !

SL said unequivocally that he knew nothing about any approach for LJ.
It's utter nonsense that any club will come in for LJ. Wouldn't be surprised if Ashton, he of the forked tongue, put this crap out there.

Do you read the quotes?
He is 16/1 to be manager so he is technically on the list of possibilities. The list also includes David Moyes who would never leave West Ham to go to Swansea. LJ is only probably on the list as he can travel from Bristol, or RR has put a £1 on him to be on there.
Chris Coleman is favourite and I would of thought because being born there would take it.

Is it a good idea to look around the French League, when resettling in another country and culture must be a big issue to the incoming players, or would we better off searching on our own island? It makes me wonder if some of these imports are only looking for a better club and playing in England gives them the opportunity to show their wares to other potential employers. No matter which way is chosen it must be a somewhat difficult task to get it right and just in case Lee hasn't got the message - the time is now and I wish him good luck in his quest. See you all later in the summer and we can continue our thoughts on all the happenings down at Ashton Gate and let's hope we have some tasty morsels on which to chew.

All footballers are trying to better themselves by being at the best clubs; it's not something to beat them down with, provided they work hard and are professional whilst they're with you. Unfortunately there aren't many superstar footballers who grow up dreaming of playing for Bristol City, and our academy is producing players for the 1st team at a much greater rate than most (Bryan, Reid, Kelly, Vyner…).
