When does the summer transfer window open?

To keep the window open for 12 weeks, in line with Fifa rules, the start date has been changed from June 10 to just a few days after the final games of the season around May 17.
Clubs will be able to sell players until August 31 but they won't be able to bring in replacements after the deadline.
When will the 2018 summer transfer window close?
August 9 at 17.00pm.
What about the EFL?
It was announced in February that the EFL would be following suit with the transfer window closing for permanent signings on August 9th.
How about loan signings in the EFL?
Clubs outside the top flight will still be able to sign players on loan until 31 August.
They will also be able transfer players out to clubs in leagues where the window remains open, with European leagues still able to buy and sell until 31 August.

Interesting to listen to LJ's interview about being unable to afford Mittovic's wages and signing fee.
LJ also admitted he was forced to play Reid and Patterson up front early in the season due to injured strikers.
Just by the strikers he's signed shows he, like his father, like the long ball to big men.
And in the last 10 minutes whereas it used to be Boom Boom up top, now it's Flint.
It will be a long time but even Lansdown will catch up in the end.

And as I've said on here before, Johnsons answer to trying to protect a lead is to take off a striker and bring on a defender WHICH DOESN'T WORK !!

We have conceded the most goals of any side in the top half of the table.

With Johnson there is never a Plan B

Yes they have when you consider the likes of Korey Smith, Aden Flint, Marlon Pack and Callum O'Dowda have all come cheaply from lower league clubs

The so called 'hatred'apart LJ has spent all the Kodjia and Bolasie money so he'll find it difficult to better this season again with us.
If he stays and sells our 'Crown Jewels' he really will be on a hiding to nothing next season.
I can't believe WBA are daft enough to employ him but should they offer him the job he'd be mad not to take it.

Engvall's a £2million start from a lower league. Hardly cheap though.
Eliasson and Magnusson also cost millions.
Do they count ?
Promise not to mention our January signings.
Dress it up all you like LJ's made, in the main, terrible signings.
And now we sell to make good his mistakes.

Exactly Red Robin said that haven’t they learned from buying cheap from lower league sides where the fact is they’ve been more successful then the players we’ve paid more money for

Loathsneyd, I understand your point.
Do you understand my point that LJ and Ashton, in the main, that I believe he's squandered the Kodjia and Bolasie money.
LJ is now contemplating selling our best players this summer, none of whom he brought to the club.
Time will show LJ's transfer success or otherwise.
If he gets offered the WBA job he should jump at it before I think he's found out.

I understand your point but it doesn't mean I agree with it :emoticon-0105-wink:.
