I won’t quote you. But I will say that at your age you really need to complete your posts.

Starting a sentence with “T” and then not completing it opens you up to people suggesting you have lost your marbles.
I shouldn't be doing this but it is clear that you have not been initiated into the non-bedwetters code then? Stay dry for a whole month and you may be invited to join. Best maybe start by trying to get through a whole match dry.

Brighton invest heavily in young new talent, how much have they won again? It has to be a mix of youth and experience. Although Howe has played some youth, Miley, Hall and Tino. His hand was forced with Miley, Hall had to wait ages and you could argue Tino already had experience. The question is, if we unearthed the next superstar from south america, would Howe actually put him in or would we rely on them going out on a stella loan deal like the others?

Brighton pay the exact kind of money for the exact quality of player Newcastle should be after. It's not like all they do is find super cheap, they're not all like Mitoma (£5m) and Van Hecke (£2m), they also got Caicedo (£27m), Verbruggen (£20m), Baleba (£25m). The thing that stands out to me is they've paid more than double our record payment for a goalkeeper! We have got to be cannier in the market than we have been the past three years.

Ultimately you can't get it all right, all the time. Mistakes have been made - the GK situation I think far and above the biggest error in judgement from whoever was responsible. That said, there's a lot of sympathy for Howe too. We were hugely impacted by Saudi indecision around the CEO and Sporting Director, resulting in Howe (presumably) having to do too much in transfers. The knock on effect of being too slow in sponsorship deals, mainly because the PL scuppered our ability to do so with ATP rules, also had the impact of selling Anderson and Minteh.

So my take is we should be competing with Brighton, Brentford, Forest, Bournemouth for players almost every time - then when we have a really solid squad, with DIFFERENT options from the bench, upgrade just one of the subs with a ready-made player of any age.

If memory serves me correctly we've out performed said clubs since Howe was in charge.
