This makes no sense...

"Any hopes Bafetimbi Gomis had of joining Newcastle look to be dashed with the Swans prepared to block any potential transfer.

It was reported that the Magpies had tables a £7 million bid for the striker who is said to be unsettled in South Wales.

But, having already sold Jonjo Shelvey to relegation rivals Newcastle, the Swans are unwilling to off-load another player to the St James’ Park outfit."

Surely Gomis would be a detriment to Newcastle? And I'm not joking either! Would be a great financial saving for us.

To sell Newcastle Shelvey then refuse them Gomis because they are a fellow relegation team makes as much sense as a screen door in a submarine

Don't be surprised if Gomis scores some important goals for us in the next few months. We need all the strikers we can get, especially if there are any injuries.

From having Gomis with Eder as back up (and Ayew on the wander), we've suddenly gone to Paloshi and Ayew, with Gomis as back up. It seems a far stronger position to be in.
