We dont need to change the way we are already playing, All we require is a good striker to finish the season off........If we start to play differently at this late stage of the season then it may go pear shape.....keep everything simple and get a proper striker to give us more fight up front....
Think you may be right there. Remember Wolves.

We don't do 3 in defence, It's silly to expect our defenders who have been fairly good to adapt to 3 at the back now. Football is an easy game if you do it right. Keep playing 4 at the back and keep playing the way we are with the addition of a new striker.......New Midfielders, defenders, keepers and whatever should not be our concern until the season is over.

Are you actually reading any posts on here Aussie ? I can see everyone especially you moaning about the way the seasons going after nearly every game...Why single me out just to act big and score points...It isn't working pal...<laugh>
I haven't a clue what any of this means. <sorry> I was responding to a post that stated you were unhappy with everything. If you read my post I pointed out that wasn't quite true.

As for Guidolin it looks as if he likes to mix things up a little and I like that because it wrong-foots opposing managers.

Just seen it on Sky Sports - Guidolin says he targeted him: he had him at Parma. He asked the Chairman to go get him. Well done, Mr. Chairman <applause>

Guardian says we are in for Gayle - if we are after both, surely Go-Miss is on his way out?

I'd be more than happy with these signings and Gomis leaving.

The fact that Guido wanted Paloschi and has gone and got him looks like a sign that Jenkins has realised his mistakes in transfers etc and is learning from them.

Gayle I'd be happy with too. Young, British and a point to prove.

Spot on, Valley!

3 in defence? We may in future. As far as I can see, Guidolin comes to the Club as the most experienced manager in our Clubs history. He probably has more nous and experience than all our other managers combined, so the main thing to expect is the unexpected! It's likely we won't be stuck in a rigid system. This is what 4-4-2 Magazine had to say about him:

Tactical nous
“Guidolin is renowned as a studious, hyper-tactical mind who favours an attack-minded approach. He’s never been rigid to one single system and has overhauled his entire formation mid-season in the past. His stress may have been linked to this tendency to overanalyse. Additionally, he possesses the vital skill of being able to adapt the system to the players at his disposal.

The former midfielder isn't averse to using three at the back, which he went into detail on after spending four days as a guest of Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich’s training ground last year: “I was pleased to discuss [Arturo] Vidal operating behind [Mario] Götze in a 3-6-1 system [with Pep]. That formation is the direction that the great teams are favouring with three defenders and only one pure centre-back. There are then many players making the midfield dense and lacking points of reference.”
