Ok my take on this for what it is, I am glad we have signed a striker (if we do), he can not possibly be worse than what we have. But I do see dai's point, he does have no English football experience and can take a while to adjust (Bony for instance), A lot saying the manager wants him as he sees him as good, but our manager has no experience of what it takes to play in the PL, there would have been lots of options with that experience if we actually had acted earlier.

On the plus we will have a new striker and the manager sees him fitting in with the way he sees us playing, if he scores any goals it will be more than we are getting now from our strikers and hopefully the biggest plus is we get rid of that leech we are paying for **** all at the moment.

So if he signs welcome aboard and just give everything and stay onside and hopefully get a few goals and the fans will love you.

Once Gomis clears town there is a good chance he will go back to being a star. When he looks at us all he sees is the team who kept him on the bench when he first came and kept him from millions of pounds after his first full season when we wouldn't let move on elsewhere with 6,000,000 in his back pocket .Good footballer when he wants to be , not so much when he throws his toys out . To me , Gomis is a good example of what's wrong with the game today , total greed .
Gomis thinks he's being ripped off at 55 thousand a week , if Paloschi signs he will be on under 20 thousand and putting in twice the effort . The more I think about Gomis , the more I want the door to hit him on the way out .

Just saw this on a stie called 'Whoscored'
'Paloschi, a former Italy Under-21 international, has scored at least twice as many league goals for Chievo than any other player this season (8). Moreover, only Carlos Bacca (31) has been caught offside more times than Paloschi (26) in Serie A this season.'
Don't like the second sentence. <doh>

Being reported the Sunderland are preparing one final attempt to lure Ayew from us , 12 million and Borini .
I think Sam's refusing to let go of this one is double edged .
Not only does he want him so they can move up the table but they want us not to have him so we will move down .

Michu scored 4 goals in his first 3 Premier League games , 6 goals in his first 8 Premier League games .Great buy by Laudrup , hit the ground running .
Fact 1) Michu Played at a lower level than we are now and i can name many that never hit the road running.
Fact 2) Austin not worth £100k/week (he is on nowhere near that) and yet your happy with the club paying more than that for gomis.
Fact 3) This site would be awash with praise if we had signed Austin for just £4m and you would be saying he is worth every penny.<laugh>

And Fact 4) Jenkins and the board have not been up to scratch this season, They have been poor and have shown no urgency and made too many mistakes that have put the club in the position we are. I hope they give Mr G the right support and butt out of the running of the club and lets hope he can repair the mess and keep us up......

1: Michu scored 6 goals in his first 8 games in the Premier , not sure what your point is
2:Were paying Gomis more than 100,000 a week ?...lol
3 : Paying Austin 100,000 a week would bring no joy for me to a guy who has payed 1 season in the Premier and after a good first half , fell off dramatically
4:Finally , agreement ...

Teams in Italy are far more focussed on defending than attacking and well drilled so I would imagine that isn't an unusual statistic .

That. Plus, being offside because you can't be that bothered to make much effort to stay onside is different to being offside because you're trying to break the defensive line (and still scoring).
