I believe he is the managers choice which is always a good start rather than having someone hoisted upon you ,the guy knows the Italian leagues and has a strong reputation for working and developing players so we haven't bust the bank and not yet lost anyone who we'll miss so a + for me.

I'm actually hoping Huw has learned his (hands on ) lesson and is eager to go back to delegating responability to managers after the backlash he's been under since releasing Laudrup Matt .
4 and half days left and we may already have a striker . Hoping for a wee bit more .

Much too early to judge MR G yet but we need a striker we know can play premier league and not someone who has not played the high tempo game we play in the premiership, That is my worry. Remember it took bony 6 games before he settled in and we cant afford anywhere near that amount of games at this stage of the season.....He may be great who knows but it's a big risk to take and i would have preferred a striker already premiership standard...

Regarding Huw yes hope so I'd like to think that after this seasons off field debacle the Board will have a long look at themselves and act accordingly . The guy is appears to a "football" man and has a very decent record in developing and scouting players so maybe there's now a a recognition that there are people who know what their doing outside of our board .Our recent scouting system leaves a lot to be desired and this could be the start of a major overhaul so desperately needed .

Always a pessimist aren't you!
Meaning ?

Are we not allowed to put any points across now after all we have bought some great flops recently and i for one dont want the club buying another......summer when the season is over is the time to bring in non premiership players not now when we need players who we know can play premiership football....We don't have the time today risking if they can fit in or not.....the clock is ticking away fast and we are still well in the mix of relegation with the other 8 or so clubs. Anyone from Everton down to villa has to get things right and i want us to get things right also....

Austin is worth paying £100k a week when you could buy him for just £4m.......It works out far less than what we are paying gomis <laugh>

Michu scored 4 goals in his first 3 Premier League games , 6 goals in his first 8 Premier League games .Great buy by Laudrup , hit the ground running .
