It was reported that the club were confident it would be suspended or reduced to one window. Massive ****-up by Acun to get us into this position in the first place.

but spending a fortune on wages on a few players on a free had made it all forgotten apparently

I think selling Kamara makes poor sense.

It’s gambling on Millar and Belloumi coming back fit and with the same ability level after both being out for a long time. It could take them months to get back to full match fitness.

Ndala has made a good start but is still young and could be inconsistent, he wouldn’t be the first. Akintola we have no idea.

Keep Kamara until January and reassess.

I'd rather sell Millar than Kamara, obviously I'm aware that's not currently an option, but I think Kamara will end up being worth far more.

The line ‘CHALLENGES WILL NEVER BREAK US; THEY ONLY MAKE US STRONGER.’ is cringe as **** too because it’s creating a victim mentality when the club were in the wrong. You can criticise the length it took for the appeal to be heard and then the decision to be published but the initial punishment and the slightly reduced sentence are still the club’s fault entirely.

A two-window fee restriction is still a damning indictment of Acun’s piss-poor ownership of the club.

Disappointing.
We still don't know the actual details. I wonder when, or if, we ever will?
Nice defiant response from the club. Siege mentality, us against the world. At the moment it's going rather well to be fair :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Oxford’s full minutes got released from their appeal. I imagine when/if ours comes out it will outline our reasoning so should be pretty insightful

i dont agree with the theory its good so we cant spend money.
we have done well with the frees/ loans so far but there are only so many of them about, would have been nice to have the opportunity to strengthen in January if needed.
only a couple of bad injuries to key players away from trouble again.
hopefully we have had our fair share of that last year and get a bit of luck on that front this time

Two windows is fine, we’ve shown with a bit of thought that we can bring players in without paying huge fees. It’s been our best transfer window for ages. I expect we’ll do similar in January depending on how the first half of the season goes and then we’ll probably go for it next season.

Still think we will bring in 2 or 3 more players, the result of appeal is what it is and it’s over now so suspect the people upstairs will now concentrate on the players they were watching in case this happened.

I also think it means you end up spending significantly more on wages for key players (a la McBurnie) as they know they have you over a barrel - and it could be harder to have a decent deep squad as the wage budget starts to go.

This means you are more reliant on these key players and if they get injured you are in a bit of trouble. I appreciate we haven’t seen Destan yet but already without McBurnie we’d look weaker. The midfield is also thin.

With it being two windows, is there not an option to loan for a season with an obligation to buy in the summer? Or am I simplifying it too much?

No. The rules stipulate you cannot commit to pay any transfer fees during a restricted window. We cannot do loans with obligations or options to buy this window or in January.
