No further articles from HDM, nothing on BBC - and most importantly nothing at all from the club.

I'm not saying that nothing is amiss, clearly everything is not fine. However, it definitely seems like this is more complicated than we've/Acun's just run out of money. The fact we've had nothing from the club suggests that there's lots going to try and persuade the EFL that the embargo is not warranted before making a statement.

The club needs to provide some clarity at some point today though. Not just about the Barry/Villa situation, but finances in general - including the rumours of non payment of suppliers and other clubs. As others have said, even if the embargo is lifted/doesn't happen, most decent players who have a choice of clubs will go elsewhere due to the uncertainty.

All starting to look like a big mess, and I was quite looking forward to next season!

Anyone still think ST, M88 and myself were talking **** and trying to cause problems before our biggest game of the season ( or whatever else got chucked at us when we said how bad things were).

I said it at the time and I'll say it again.....things are bad

If Puerta and Alzate need to go then so be it, given that we have to release funds quickly.

Probably selling Pandur would be sensible too, if a decent offer comes in.

We should try to keep Hughes at all costs though. He’ll be worth a lot more in a year’s time and he’s currently the backbone of the team.

I’m really struggling to understand letting Jacob go now though. We have no left back worthy of the name; if McLoughlin has to revert to centre back it’s Giles or an out of position Coyle/Dramah. Ok in the short term but will be regularly found out over a season.

I think it would’ve brought in extra money, if it led to continued investment and established premier league status most fans would’ve got over it, or new fans would’ve taken their place.

But probably best not to open old wounds, let’s focus on the current saga lol

According to Smailes in the HDM article last-night,we are under a 3 window embargo and the list will be updated this morning...

Those fans all would have been replaced by new fans from the Asian market and we would have been able to attract much better sponsorship deals. The branding would also have worked for sports clothing, energy drinks etc.

It was a great idea well ahead of its time and poorly executed.

Seems Fletch has also been told about late payments for a January signing (probably Joseph). I think this goes much, much deeper than us not paying Villa the £1 million loan fee on time.

They funded initially themselves. Rob is the football guy, didn’t have the funds, so got Ryan involved as he had the immediate cash. They’ve both been paid back now according to the most recent accounts so are in effect playing with the bank now. The Allyn family stepped in and invested cash, most of which will be used for the new stand. If they reach the next level am sure it would be easier for Ryan to reach out once next level of investment.

Rob and Ryan keep the proceeds for the documentary, but it the exposure that is generated that benefits the club. As already mentioned in another reply the United deal is huge. All of the deals are huge. Their accounts from League 2 dwarfed the majority of the championship teams.
 
A lot of the media, especially local seem to be surfacing and proclaiming knowledge about the situation without really offering any clarity and having recently shown no real knowledge about it at all. It seems to me they are picking up elements of the rumour mill as opposed to legitimate inside information. Hopefully someone with some real insight about the trouble we're in and how/if we can navigate a way out speak up soon.
