I guess it isn't all doom and gloom if the embargo is enforced. There are some fantastic players available as free agents, however, would they want to come? Doubtful

We have some fantastic players in our squad too. It’s easy to forget that with the way they have been mismanaged the last 12 months.

Acun for the last year has been trying to bring investors in as no doubt the main 3 itk will also confirm, problem is is what they probably want so now maybe Acun will relent and accept the situation and accept some offer of what they may want to resolve this if he can’t find a solution himself.

Might not be all doom and gloom unless he steadfastly refuses to accept things.

Because we’re crap and can’t sign any players to improve and will have to have a fire sale to service debts. Our striker options are currently Joseph and Burstow, now we’ve let Jao Pedro walk.

We'll be ok once the 2 new strikers arrive.

Remember? Good and Very Good.

If the embargo sticks we can just allocate the names Good and Very Good to Burstow and Joseph.*

Job done.

Simples.

*Other nicknames for the pair may be available...

...and more appropriate.

On Second Tier's Sunday Show (presumably recorded slightly before then) at the end Maguire was asked which clubs he would worry about excluding Wednesday, and he listed Watford and us. He then chatted for a moment about Watford but added nothing further on us. Just the one comment.

'Suppliers' feels like we perhaps needed to pay a fee to Umbro to lock that deal in. I also do wonder if it was the team who put in the new pitch, hence when we had issues there didn't seem to be much action taken. Why would you fix a problem for a client who isn't paying.

I've worked with companies who run cash flow to the wire and it's often the small companies with no leverage who get pushed aside first. Hope this isn't affecting small local companies too much.

It being related to the Barry deal adds some grey area, especially when you look at the timing. Was we trying to incorporate that loan fee in to the purchase of him so held of paying temporarily and when that deal fell apart (rightly so, was a bad deal) it then meant we then had missed the date and messed up. Aligns with the suggestion AV didn't report us directly and why we believed we could appeal the then temporary embargo if there was an email trail that supported that. In reality though 'working on deal' is no legal excuse and in reality is not relevant to the EFL.

Rumours we owe other clubs is still rumours at the minute. I have a feeling we run to the wire and probably pay everything late (but within the 30 day window). If we do, thats not unheard of, but is ****ty practice hence probably pissing the EFL off.

The optimist in me hopes 'Barry-gate' is the only issue and we get that rectified and the embargo lifted. The cautious in me feels like much of is true, but is more naivety and can easily be rectified with a show of cash and settling everything outstanding. The pessimist in me wonders if there ever was any money.

I just don’t get why he would lie so blatantly in front of a live audience and cameras? Surely there’s an explanation?

Starting to sound like a mug that can’t believe their partner was caught cheating

Bigger issue was why did he do a Q&A in the first place because they must have known about pending issues.

Manager and staff including Holden must have known but still joined and Dublin would have definitely known, which makes me think they think they can overcome it.

I think we need to remember he has a huge ego that needs stroking.

In his first interviews, he talked about how much people ‘loved him’

Regardless of whether the club believe they can rectify this or not, the fact that we’ve now gone nearly 18 hours since the story first broke without the club issuing a single statement is very unprofessional.
