I think putting aside everything else and what this relates to or what it doesn't relate to, whether we're actually financially ok or in the complete ****ter, the common theme is that Acun should go. Whether you think he should go for hastily sacking two good managers or because he can't run the club off field, I think everyone (apart from the odd poster) is pretty agreed on that.

Everyone? 4 or 5 prolific mega posters is hardly what I’d call everyone.

Evidently it's not just the Barry loan deal that's the issue here.

And it's allegedly not just that one liability potentially in default.

*Cough*.

If only someone had said months ago...

And to be fair it was a post on x which had swiftly been deleted from folk who'd had an update on the club's commercial creditworthiness 18 months ago rhat set the alarm bells off for me.

People are always saying this sort of thing, but I think there are always people interested in owning a Championship football club. The issue isn't finding buyers, it's having a willing seller.

It's about being able to sell it on without bankrupting the parent company.

He can't sell at much of a loss because the parent company is facing headwinds too. And the debt is leveraged against Acun Medya.

He's always going to protect Acun Medya over the club.

So if it comes to it and he can't continue to neither fund it or sell it, then administration or liquidation is where these things tend to end up.

The absolute worst thing for folk to do though is campaign Acun out/boycott etc, because it will just make the club less of a sell to new owners

I'm pretty sure he's looking for an exit strategy. He'd be mad not to be.

Just depends how much of a loss Acun is prepared to take, or sell the club still owing him the money but for free essentially.

As far as Villa goes, maybe Acun was trying to include the loan fee as part of the deal to buy Barry. Arguing that the player was injured for most of the loan period, so Villa should be at least flexible. In addition using money due for Philogene as part of the Barry deal.

Villa have their own issues with FFP, so maybe they just got pissed off with Acun trying to do the deals as above, so pulled the deal.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what transpires.

Ehab has been offering him a way out for a while. We might just see it happen now. He was pretty much definitely taking it back on if we got relegated as he was the only one who was still interested.

It’s an absolute joke. Wages paid later than normal on the biggest week of the club’s recent history but everyone just believed him when he said it was a technicality. He will say the same again now and the fact that it’s all a big misunderstanding and it’s all paid. We’re financially in a proper, proper hole but to the fans faces, he just lies and promises more and more signings.

He’s not wealthy enough to own a Chamionship football club and he’s especially not wealthy enough to run one that is racking up huge debts and playing players £35k a week.

The club was bought through a Santander loan to Acun Medya and I would imagine everything else has been too.

He got too excited, he thought he could get us promoted straight away and now we’re shafted.

I bloody love this club and it’s horrible to see.

Players were paid on time in June though weren't they?
