Borini allegedly wanted 90k a week to sign for us

TF and HR told him to take a hike

I'd like to say fair play to the pair of them, particularly TF who's shown his biggest sign yet of learning his lessons. Jermaine Defoe will be signed in January. Up until that period, Austin, Vargas and BZ can do the business.

Sandro will come in and add some bite in to our midfield, still young at 25 and with a point to prove. Great signing.

Can't quite understand us signing Kranjcar, unless he's lost 2 stone and gained pace he'll be a bench filler.

Let's hope you're right mate.

We were clearly very close on Defoe. Personal terms agreed, but Toronto said no at the last minute. TF looked shagged out and a tad disappointed

Tony says Niko almost done. ... and he's lost a lot of weight and is fit!

Well absolutely delighted with the Sandro and Kranjcar signings. Sounds like Kranjcar is properly fit this time according to Tony.

However, in my opinion we have made a massive mistake in not signing another striker. Sounds like it was close with Toronto pulling the plug on the Defoe deal at the last minute.

Think Tony is right. I watched the clip of him entering Loftus Road carefully and I can confirm he has lost one chin.

Someone just said you can get a few hours extension if enough documents are sent that confirm a deal will be done. Arsenal doing it with Welbekk he claimed.

Sky just announced window closed and are mentioning that ManU and Arsenal may be applying for the extension to which you refer

Agree Judo. Sandro looks like being a fans favourite and a much needed DM. Hope he has sorted his fitness at the right time and sounds like a bit of steel and class we need there. Can't help feeling the striker support might come back to bite us. We need points in the bag now, not be scrambling for them after Christmas.

Sky Sports understands Crystal Palace have beaten the deadline to sign Wolves striker Kevin Doyle on season-long loan.

Would anyone be happy with that if it was us?

Sandro will allow the other midfielders to play higher up. Still think Phillips will lose his place. Especially away from home. One striker, and loads of goals from midfield.
But worry that Tony and Arry fail to mention Vargas.
Have we signed him....
Have we signed Nico?? EDIT yes we have

Blimey Niko looks like he has lost a huge amount of weight. Fair play to him. I think the Premier League will suit him perfectly.

Is it just me or do he in fact look a lot slimmer than last season? Must have been training and starving himself all summer!

that worried me as well when Tf was Interviewed

Harry Redknapp: "Niko is a class player. I’m a huge, huge fan of his and really pleased to have him back here."

Redknapp: "He will have better players around him now, and the better players he plays with, the better player he is himself."

Think Harry makes a very valid point there. Could prove to be a very good addition to the squad.

Doyle gone to palace- i'd have had him here to be honest. At least he can play 90 mins, and would provide a focal point to the attack should Charlie get injured.
