Borini allegedly wanted 90k a week to sign for us TF and HR told him to take a hike I'd like to say fair play to the pair of them, particularly TF who's shown his biggest sign yet of learning his lessons. Jermaine Defoe will be signed in January. Up until that period, Austin, Vargas and BZ can do the business. Sandro will come in and add some bite in to our midfield, still young at 25 and with a point to prove. Great signing. Can't quite understand us signing Kranjcar, unless he's lost 2 stone and gained pace he'll be a bench filler.
I would have liked to have got him but relieved we haven't repeated past mistakes by paying that sort of money.

Well absolutely delighted with the Sandro and Kranjcar signings. Sounds like Kranjcar is properly fit this time according to Tony. However, in my opinion we have made a massive mistake in not signing another striker. Sounds like it was close with Toronto pulling the plug on the Defoe deal at the last minute.
