Strikes me as odd that he wouldn't be located a stone's throw from London tonight if that's where he wants to move- particularly given we've been negotiating all day.

Thing is, in football like in life, you get paid based on your previous salary. The reported £58k p/w we have offered is pretty much what he would have earned if he still played for Roma. I believe he's on more at Liverpool. Charlie signed from Burnley were he probably earned around £5k p/w.
It's not fair but that's life.
