Honestly.
a) he's a better player than people give him credit for.
b) the system we play (with a high press and three around centre mid) allows for CBs without pace (neither Schar nor Botman are fast) and would entirely suit Maguire
c) he would be in for Schar to account for the extra games and he's massively experienced and fairly cheap to get.
I'm not saying I want him but I actually think we would be a great club for him and it could actually be a good signing. I'd prefer others though. I think his wages are likely to be the stumbling block if we do actually take a proper look at him, where else would he go though? Can't see any of the "big 6" wanting him so perhaps abroad.

To be fair, I can vouch for this. On our WhatsApp group, sometimes when MagDad tries to call me a 'legend' it comes out as 'fatcunt' by mistake.
