Please be kind and let him have Mintoh.

Then, when Minteh signs it'll be grand. He'll still not have one right.

You sure? Just going to check out your rules.

Yeah you definitely didn't rule against someone saying Minteh. Also, you don't say that each one has to be unique so I reckon I can just say:

    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh
    Minteh

Really hoping we sign him now.

You don't really want to do that, I'm going to put out the most informed list of 8 players. Remember someone around here called us signing Trippier and Botman back when we first got taken over. Just saying.

Yes, yes, well done you, BUT did you also say that Joelinton would come good, IF switched to midfield?

Apparently this is the only path to eternal joy in Heaven.

And god forbid you make a comment based on their performance as that comment will be held as your personal view of the player for their whole career

Ok, so I'm picking the players I think would work well for us rather than necessarily the ones we are being linked to - so skipping the likes of Maddison, Barnes, Szoboslai, (with one exception).

1 - Ilaix Moriba. A highly-rated prospect at Barcelona 2-3 years back but left for RB Leipzig and the promise of game-time and a better contract. Been on loan at Valencia for 2 years (playing 14 and then 24 games) and still only 20. CM and is at risk of not fulfilling his potential (was seen as a generational talent when 15/16), could be a great player under the right manager/system.

2 - Kalvin Phillips. Hear me out, this makes sense. I think he would work perfectly in our system (playing the Longstaff role) and his levels under Bielsa at Leeds were exactly what we could use. He had injuries and then little gametime at City and I can see him wanting to leave, I reckon if we paid similar to what City signed him for he'd come (back to the NE) and whilst our fans may question it (he's not a highly rated player) I think he'd be a big upgrade.

3 - Jack Harrison. He's moving this summer surely. We've been interested in the past it seems. Reduced fee (due to relegation), reasonable wage demands and ticks the boxes for Howe.

4 - Benjamin Sesko. I've mentioned him a number of times. Would be great to get him. Not confident.

5 - Fraser Forster. He's a free agent, we'll need a 3rd keeper and he counts as homegrown at club and country for the purposes of our squad. He ain't great I'll grant you that but for a 3rd choice he'd be decent. Can't see Dubs and Karius both staying but i guess if one of them does alongside Gillespie then we wouldn't need Forster. Just an idea.

6 - Youssoufa Moukoko. I think he's old enough we're allowed to sign him now right? Can we. Please. For those who don't know he's 18 and been on the same youth team journey that Haaland went on but has been eclipsing many of his records. Indeed even Haaland said he though Moukoko was going to be a better player. Currently at Dortmund and played some gametime for Germany in the World Cup. I think it's clear we aren't signing this guy but it would be nice if we did.

7 - Tierney. Even if he wasn't linked he's an obvious choice for us. We need an upgrade at LB and he probably needs a move. I would add that there's more chance of him staying at Arsenal than some sources seem to think as they'll be playing more games next season so this one isn't as sure a thing as i think some are suggesting.

8 - Gabri Veiga. This one is so heavily linked that it feels necessary to include him. Feels like a bit of a cheat though as I would never have had him in a list of mine otherwise.

Woah, woah, woah. So I slightly streched the boundaries by having a Messi / Ronaldo (either / or) as my 8th choice. And I was given a 'ban'.

But you've just picked 16. This is crazy!
