Brentford's capacity is only 17,250. I accept capacity isnt everything.
Brentford's new one is a small (ish) ground but a fair bit bigger than their old one, plus their fanbase is nowhere near as big as ours

Given that City were getting 17,000+ attendances for some games in old Division 3 there's a clear case for us expanding to upwards of 30,000 capacity in the Prem

So I seem to have got it wrong about the East Stand being built ready for a second tier, but there was also supposedly the space to add a few extra rows of seats at the top of the North/South stands which would add 3-4000 to the capacity. Was that wrong as well?

There's a large site next to Melton Business Park, it's too close to Ferriby for them to get planning on it, but they'll have no problem getting permission for pitches on it and the building can go at the front immediately opposite the Business Park.
Blackburns?

Do we own the land at Cottingham? If so presumably we can sell at least some of it for housing?

We do own it, and could presumably therefore sell it, but I think several people have already said previously that planning permission for housing would not be granted on that site, so it's fairly limited in terms of what it can be used for, which would reduce the desirability/value.

I don't think a few rows of seats would add 3-4000 capacity

What about making a glass bottomed restaurant/viewing gallery above the pitch?

The massive field in the middle of this image, I've no idea if it would be available, but the top part seems ideal...

They wear gloves in summer. With the breeze blowing off the Humber they’d never come out of their portocabins

Bingo

Just expand on the Cottingham site, not every training ground needs to be a huge complex

There's only two full sized pitches at the training ground.
Dont clubs usually have a dozen or so?
There must be plenty of places west of the city which could be available with the help of East Riding Council.

surely anywhere in here would be fine
