Did you ever check out that outdoor.de website. They’ve got loads of quality technical gear at around 75% of U.K. prices.
I found these 40% discounted on www.activinstinct.co.uk Still £100 mind! SportShoes.com is a good site as well.
Can't see the actual shoes on that link, but yeah £100 is about right for a decent pair of technical shoes.
Yeah, they are. Got them for £80 in the end from http://www.kongadventure.com/products/footwear1/footwear-running-shoes/ Last pair in my size I think. I did like the light blue but prefer red. Can't think why!
No, don't think so. Might be end of that colour maybe? They may well be changing the 'model' as they are reduced on a few sites now. Actual price should be £140!
They look great. And good for the job in hand. I'm still wearing those Garmont Gore-Tex shoes (the ones Tel calls bowling shoes) I've had them almost 2 years now and they've been used and abused in the worst conditions, mud, rain, bogs. They've been scuffed against the chainstays on my bike and scraped against rocks. Still doing the job with no real obvious wear either. I clean them properly each time I use them though and use Fabsil on them to keep the waterproof layer in tact.
