I managed to drag him out of it a few times before he realise and reverted to good mood so i think he was forcing it really

I appreciate that, but the team was based on the speculation that we are to sign him.
I doubt if Rodgers would be brave enough to play that team even if we had signed Benteke and Digne. He will probably stick with Balotelli up front and Skerts & Lovren at the back. With Joe (the incredible bouncing off opposition players when trying to tackle man) Allen alongside Lucas in midfield.
Rodgers would almost certainly play Benteke ahead of Balotelli. Allen (or Lucas) ahead of Can would be more likely though.
On the 15th of October this year the 5th anniversary of the end of the worst period in lfc history since before Shankly will come to pass.
How can any lfc fan not be happy?

Because we're still not good enough.
Yes, we did well to get out of the horrible situation we were in, but we've spent so much since then and for very little return. We should be in a much better position.
