Love how everyone thinks Liverpool are going to finish above us, Arsenal may well finish above us again but Liverpool for all the money they have spent still only have 2 good players - Suarez and Gerrard (and he isn't the player he once was).

Spurs to finish above Liverpool again this season to make it 3 times in a row.

I'm sure that you wouldn't have predicted that we'd get into the top 4 when we did, either.
Predictions are meaningless.

Things are hardly looking good for your coefficient for the future, are they?
Rangers crashed out of the third qualifying round to the Swedes of Malmo, Dundee United were knocked out of the second qualifying round of the Europa League by Slask Wroclaw of Poland and Hearts look to be out too, now.
The Old Firm both struggled in their first Europa League ties and it's possible that every Scottish side could be out of Europe by this time next week.

Gets into the group stages yes, but how much further? One or both of Celtic or Rangers gets into the CL every year but how far do they realistically expect to go? We at Spurs had our year in the limelight and now we want more and I can see no reason why we can't get it - Arsenal have lost Fabregas and one two important squad players, and Nasri looks to be on his way as well. The players who they have bought are unproven. Liverpool have bought players like Adam who are good, mid level Prem players but are unlikely to be game changers for them. We haven't strengthened as much as us fans would have liked to, but if we get Diarra and Adebayor and keep Modric then we can definitely compete strongly for the last CL spot.

As for the "twenty years before that", well we can't all be Manchester United or play in a two horse league can we?

Teams like , Kilmarnock , Aberdeen , Hibs have far better football history and traditions than some of epl clubs , but these club gets no tv money, a couple of years ago Wigan v Hull was a epl match , when I grew up it was a great rugby league match , give these clubs multi millions then it's suddenly a great epl match !!!

Some clubs are better/more successful because they are richer - what's new? But at the same time £££ doesn't mean everything, look at for Blackburn for example. If the SPL got a better TV deal that redistributed income throughout the league then perhaps clubs outside the Old Firm might see more success, but taking away from Rangers and Celtic could be damaging for Scottish football as a whole right? In terms of coefficients etc.....

Sorry to break it to you SPL fans but Scotland is a small country, maybe not sizewise, but with a population of 5.2 million you rank with countries like Norway or Denmark. These countries have leagues nobody else is interested in and for the most part, so do you. You do not have the population to support a deal, like the EPL has with Sky. The thing is, it is self perpetuating now with the whole world wanting to watch the English Premiership the money will keep rolling in. Celtic and Rangers may seem big from where you are, but they are really just above average fish in a very small pond.

I've attended every one since the late 70,s and tickets are still hard to come by .Yesterday my team got beat by st Johnstone in front of 52000, all your thoughts on the level of football a truly amazing crowd. On Saturday I watched Arsenal v Liverpool which in truth was a match low on abilty played in front of thousands of empty seats

Arsenal v Liverpool may not have been a great game, but if you'd have put either of those teams up against Celtic, then you'd have seen the enormous gulf in class.
The empty seats were actually sold, so you'd have to ask Arsenal fans why they didn't turn up.

The rest are Championship quality?
I think you're doing a disservice to the Championship, to be honest, SNIAW.

Celtic and Rangers are Championship quality.
Compare their squads with that of West Ham.
Which would you rather have?

Some would argue that their central midfield is currently better than Arsenals, if you discount Nasri... <whistle>

You're still much better at us at getting out of the ground before the game's over, if it makes you feel any better! <laugh>

4-1 down with a reserve side out in extra-time?
Hardly compares to your lot walking out with half an hour to go at 0-0 in league games, does it?

Also:

30 minutes left in normal time!

I found it extremely watchable! <laugh>

I helped a friend of mine move into a flat near Highbury & Islington station a couple of years ago.
I left his house at about 4.15, while your team had a home game against West Ham that finished 0-0.
The whole of Holloway was packed with people that had been to the game.

When I spoke to a West Ham fan that had been to the game at work on Monday, he told me that he left the stadium just after the final whistle.
Straight out, straight onto a half empty train and home! <laugh>

I also know an Arsenal fan that thought that you'd beaten us 4-2 at The Emirates, despite being at the game.
He got quite a surprise when he turned on SSN at home.

It was a semi-final.
We won the subsequent final.
Pretty significant.

We weren't happy, so we all walked out?! <laugh>
Top support!

What have you won in the past six years, fullstop?
Spurs have won a trophy more recently than Arsenal.
You're starting to sound like a Liverpool supporter! <laugh>

Arsenal fans are failing to turn up, but still paying the money.
That's not an effective way to protest.

The whole league could do with a kick up the arse on ticket prices, though.
The Germans kicked off because they were threatened with a ticket price rise to €20.
20 ****ing Euros!
Good on them.

You haven't done better than you should have, SNIAW.
You've done pretty much exactly what you should have, given the money you've spent.

The Liverpool thing was a reference to living in the past.
Historypool and all that.

Here's the German story:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8986321.stm

€184 for his season ticket!
1 European game thrown in.
If I remember correctly, they get travel privileges, too.
Either free travel or a discount, I can't remember.

Go to Scotland, but do it on a non-British, EU passport, if you can.
You won't have to pay for it, then! <laugh>

One of my friends studied in Edinburgh, actually.
Very smart bloke.
Completely overqualified for everything!

If you jocks put your hand in your wallet and paid to watch your football the teams would get more money. no one I know in England wants to watch your league. The reason the EPL gets such a lot of money is because it,s the most exiting in the world, (please note I didn,t say best,) and if you take barca and real out of la liga theres nothing left. same as scotland realy.

Celtic had three games at Celtic park every crowd over 50000 in the last week , what are you going on about taking your hand out your pocket !!! remember your club play in a tiny wee staduim , maybe your board should take the cash out their pockets and build a staduim your club deserves, or will they not do that in case you don't fill it . You team got turned over last night by a bunch of youngster , lets all slag Scottish football again. Thought you would have more important things to worry about ,like being bottom of the league !!!

"the winner of the spl gets right into the group stages next season"

Is this to make it easier for the Glasgow clown clubs....seeing as Rangers failed, to qualify past...Malmo! <laugh>...perhaps UEFA just feel sorry for you!...like everyone else!

You keep reciting half decent Scottish players in the PL, ask yourself this...why did they leave the SPL?...not rocket science is it...your league is ****! <ok>
