Either way it's worth noting that, should we get the NEW STRIKER that we're all hoping for this mean that we have to sell at least two players. Which, given how difficult that can be at times, is a very tangible requirement.
I think Gomes will go either perm or on loan and our 3rd keeper will be one of the youngsters who doesn't need to be in the 25. Hudd, apparently, has had a fair bit of interest, i think it will be him that goes. With (touch wood) new striker coming in to make 25.
I wouldn't be surprised if Dempsey went too/either with Chadli and (touch wood) new striker arriving.
Bump again. With all these rumours going round would be nice to have an idea of our possible 25 and how many players we have over. From the OP we have lost one and gained one (Soldado). So that's 26 players so far with, apparently Capoue being number 27...
Was waiting for Capoue to be announced, but the op shows where we stand. Taken out the indications of who might leave (in case I felt tempted to include Bale) as we all know who they are now. My guess is
Bale, Parker, Huddlestone out
Capoue, Eriksen and Alderweireld in
Would represent a good squad, good enough for top 3 imo.

Not sure if that's a joke or not. My understanding though is that it isn't really a minimum number of homegrown players, it's a maximum number of non home grown players. So you can enter the league with a shortfall in homegrown players, but it means that your squad will have to be reduced from the maximum squad size accordingly. I think it's 17 non-homegrown players allowed, off the top of my head.
