On the back of the transfer thread thought it would be useful to keep track of our current first team squad.

Sold/Released/Loaned (first team squad)

Bentley
Gallas
Caulker
Dempsey
Huddlestone :emoticon-0106-cryin
Livermore (loan)
Parker
Carroll
Assou-Ekotto

As it stands - 1st Team Squad 22 players, with a couple of very good U21s to add

Goalkeepers (3)

Lloris
Friedel
Gomes

Defenders (7)

Kaboul
Vertonghen
Naughton
Dawson
Walker
Rose

Chiriches

Midfied/Wingers (9)

Lennon
Dembele
Siggurdsen
Holtby
Sandro
Townsend
Chadli
Paulinho
Capoue

Forwards (3)

Soldado

Adebayor

Notable youngsters

Kane
Lamela
Eriksen

Bold are homegrown - currently 8. Harry Kane will be 20 later this month, so not needing inclusion in our 25. Neither are new acquisitions Erik Lamela who turned 21 in March and Christian Erksen who turned 21 in February

Surely Holtby is English qualified, he must have dual-nationality...?

Italics for Benny? Might as well put Barry in there too, he's as good as signed <whistle>

It's where they played for their formative years that count. Hence Bale is "English" but Owen Hargreaves wouldn't be. Anyway he is the Germany under 21 captain.

I will not put Barry in there even if he is signed and announced by the OS <grr>. Not on my watch.

Would suggest that italics for Benny AND for Naughton would be probably be advisable...

maybe even Livermore too

Bale is not able to play for England. He has played for Wales

I'm afraid that doesn't affect whether somebody's classed as homegrown or not, Paul.
Anyone that's played for an English club for three or more years before their 21st birthday counts as a homegrown player.
Sigurdsson counts, despite having no English ancestry, but Holtby doesn't, despite one of his parents being English.

Seems a bit cuckoo to me, not at all like the FA <whistle>

Firstly it's not the FA but the Premier League that introduced the rule and secondly it really is simple and if you can't grasp it don't blame others.

The rule has ZERO to do with a players nationality. It is based entirely on where they are trained, for a minimum of 3 years, prior to their 21st birthday. It really is very simple. You should know about very simple.

Aren't you the friendly one. A very good morning to you too. You still drafting the apology over the http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/216274-Mourinho-Inter-coach-back-to-Serie-A-only thread, where you called me an idiot based on something written by Sitze.

<doh>

I'm not saying I don't understand it. I'm saying it's not logical, or fair. As a chav the concept of logic is probably not your cup of tea, so I suggest you stop haranguing those who are capable of questioning the status quo and **** off.

Don't we all...when you turn up! <ok>

I will update this. Just need something to update. No-one's even left yet, let alone joined.

Apparently there will be an abundance of movements to update following the end of the Confed

And not because of the dodgy Brazilian foodstuffs
