Yes, I've been wondering about this "special relationship" for some time now. As far as I can see, so far, it consists of them trying to steal our best players, and in return we get....er...**** all!..not even a player on loan.
Now, according to The Times, they are, in a special relationship sort of way, of course, trying to hijack our transfer targets too...!

True, but to help allay any fears, last season he was still 2nd top scorer for Barca....I can forgive him being 2nd to Leo!, outscoring and assisting their other young guns over the same amount of games. He was only on the losing side once in 28 games.

But isn't that the very reason why the player announced that we were in for him? You would only do that because you didn't really want to come to us and would rather go to a bigger club.
And if Paulhino thinks that he'll get anywhere near the game time at Real as he would with us, then let him go to Spain. We need players who actually want to play football, not those who are content to warm Real's bench, sat next to Rat Boy.
Maybe that's the reason, who knows? I have not seen this reported elsewhere - so far. If there is any truth to it, then it must be that "special" relationship we have with Real at work again!

He was a bit unlucky to get released by us, but he's gone away to Burton and worked at his game and has got his reward. He was getting MOM awards last season on a regular basis. Good luck to him, he deserves another chance at a higher level.
