=Tottenham Jamspurs;5123233]As much as I'd love to believe it really is just speculation I can only see this ending 2 ways:
Bale to Madrid.
Bale being forced to stay but being unhappy and his form suffering.
Anyone that really thinks Bale is happy to stay is deluding themselves. For him not to have said anything this far down the line there is no way he wants to stay. Even Spurs haven't said "Bale wants to stay", just that he IS staying. I know some people think he is just keeping his options open for a move / more money by not commenting but he could also just say "I would be interested in Real Madrid but would also be happy to stay at Tottenham if we can work out a solution over a new contract" therefore not commiting either way.
I just think after so long his absolute silence speaks volumes and I'd like to see him moved on if he is not going to commit, via a contract or even just verbally, to our club.
Don't get me wrong if he came out tomorrow and stated he'd like to stay / signed a new contract I'd forgive him in a heartbeat - But he has gone so long without commenting that I find that highly unlikely.
...."hello, footballing world to Tottenham Jamspurs", nobody gives a **** where Darren Bent goes! So, the only 'deluded' person round here would seem to be you. You haven't got a scooby doo have ya! Why are players duty bound to inform people like you via the bloody press what they're doing. Players are under legally binding contracts, and are prevented from speaking until matters are closed. If you'd paid any attention to the positive comments instead of your constant doom mongering, you would know all Spurs staff from the bog cleaner to Baldini, have been told by Levy "no media comment"...do you understand that? that means no interviews, no twitter, no **** all.
Please name one high profile player anywhere that has blabbed his way through his transfer?...what did Soldado say in Spain when asked about coming here "don't know, I'll speak when I can as I always do". You used Kinnear speaking about Bent as a comparison!...."hello, footballing world to Tottenham Jamspurs", nobody gives a **** where Darren Bent goes! So, the only 'deluded' person round here would seem to be you.
On that note, its the second time you've labelled the other half of the debate that disagrees with you in a disparaging manner. NSIS (posters that have been here ages will know who that is) pulled you the other day for exactly the same thing, so it would appear you haven't learnt. If you want to get on here I'd suggest you don't go ruffling feathers, being preached too, because thats what your comments have become rather than an opinion, is becoming a little tedious.
I am more concerned by the fact that Bale can allegedly ditch his current
agent next year. If that happens, his agent may not be the one who gets a slice
of the pie if terms for Bale going to Madrid next summer are agreed after then.
Nobody else has the ability to do the drip drip unsettling attempts up close.

I think you're being a bit harsh. I agree with your point absolutely about players not being able to talk, but TJ is not alone in calling for Bale to speak out. I have made the same point as you a couple of times, in fact I said we wont be hearing anything from Bale until this is all finalised. This whole Bale saga will not go away until once again he pulls on the shirt and runs out for us.Brazilian kid?? Not dameow surely?
Bernard?
That was replying to Roo btw, forgot the quotey mcthinger
Although there was an acceptance at the Premier League club last week that Bale’s departure was inevitable it is understood that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has hardened his position, having been angered by Real’s increasingly aggressive, and public, pursuit of the player.
Spurs are determined not to negotiate further with Real, who have already offered in excess of £80 million for Bale.
The open courting of the 24-year-old forward – by current Real players and the club’s coaching staff, including Zinedine Zidane – has annoyed Tottenham, who have also become frustrated at the injuries the Wales international has complained about since Real’s interest intensified.
Levy’s position was echoed last night by Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas, who said he thought his Real counterpart Carlo Ancelotti was “wrong” to speak about the club’s interest in Bale.
“This situation they have decided to make public,” he said. “Normally situations like this in England are scrutinised by the Football Association with lots of care and attention. We have seen lots of people speaking about a player who is not theirs.”
Bale did not travel with the Tottenham squad for their friendly away against Monaco last night, which Spurs lost 5-2, having reported that he was suffering from a pain in his foot.
Real president Florentino Pérez wants to hold talks with Levy in Miami this week. Levy has a house in Florida but there is no guarantee the Spurs chairman will agree to more negotiations.
Tottenham did speak with Real at Bale’s request after the player told Levy and Villas-Boas that he wished to leave the club. Spurs felt that it was the right thing to do out of respect for Bale’s exemplary performances, but that goodwill is in danger of running dry.
Although Bale has set his heart on joining Real it is not thought that he will formally submit a transfer request even if he has been left bemused by Spurs’ failure to offer him an improved contract.
Real, for their part, are prepared to increase their offer closer to £100  million. They have also offered to reconstitute the bid to include players, with Fabio Coentrao and Ãngel di MarÃa mentioned, but it would appear Spurs want a straight cash deal.

Morning mate, yep, it was Bernard.
Morning mate, yep, it was Bernard.

Good morn!
Interesting. I don't really see the need for MORE midfielders unless Bale is off. I guess this is to replace Gylfi?
I don't suppose Bernard doubles as a world class centre back does he?
We'll have to play 3-6-1 at this rate.
Bernard's gone to Shaktar though

Take a chill pill lads, I noticed with some satisfaction this morning that there isn't much about GB in the reports- could be fallout from AVB's rant yesterday.
More about that average Utd lad going to some other London club is what they are all printing, funnily enough the writing style is almost the same.
has he? then the F did that happen?
Edit: don't think he has...
