Don't know if this has been mentioned this already - apparently there is interest from Spurs in Daniel Opare.
Personally never heard of him, anyone?

Funnily enough I used to buy him on FM 2010 or FM 2011. Had like 19 for speed and acceleration and always turned out a very good full back. As for real life, apparently he's impressed in Belgium but not seen anything of him to be able to properly judge.

Thudd off to Sunderland 5 million pounds, just heard some bad new's about Kaboom,i've been told he has the same problem as Ledley,if there is any truth in it i don't know, the guy who told me is a Spurs fan,so it 's probaby right

Gotta be ****ting me!

WHY?! WHY!? Do the footballing Gods rain **** upon us (if true). I swear whenever we get a gem of a player, they either get long term injuries or bought buy bigger clubs. Really hope your mate is chatting bollocks.

Not surprised to hear about the possibility of Dempsey leaving.
He scored some important goal for us last season, but for much of it, he really didn't fit in. Other than those goals, his performances were generally not up to par.
Thanks for your best efforts Clint and best of luck (if you're on your bike). <ok>

Didnt we have the next rooney as well, some irish kid that got knee injuries and never made it. its a real shame if Kaboul has it too. It would explain why he has been out for so long

doesn't Lennon also have the same problem? Albeit caught much earlier than Ledders and therefore managed?

lots of rumours now that we've agreed a £5mill deal with Sunderland for Huddlestone.

Yep, had the pleasure of playing against and alongside him - Terry Dixon. Best player I've ever seen for his age. He was at Norseman for most of his Sunday League career and when he was on the books at Spurs, he snidely played in a Sunday League tournament for my team Edmonton Rangers (apparently players for pro-teams couldn't play for Sunday League sides unless they received permission), the guy was like a young Messi compared to us and opposition. Such a shame he got the injuries he did. Michael Noone was another great player at his age, formerly at Millwall then went to the GHA, not sure where he is now. Yet the likes of Jay Simpson, who I went Primary with (and was miles better than despite being a year younger!!!) ended up playing for Arsenal and now Hull. Just shows luck has a lot to do with football.

As for Kaboul, like you said it makes sense as to why he's been out so long. On the bright side he has been in a couple of training pics so hopefully he's doing ok.

Yeah looks like it's got some legs. Best of luck to Tommy, never truly got to see the best that we all know he could be, hopefully Di Canio can get it from him.

Great news for Tom Carroll too!!

Other rumours saying that Ade is close to joining Besiktas aswell.

soon, there'll be no strikers! <laugh>

Yeah I was thinking the exact same mate. Carroll alongside Holtby & Sig (seeing as Parker looks to be off too) will be 1st back ups to the trio of Dembele, Sandro and Paulinho. Nigh on guaranteeing him a good number of sub appearances and games in cups.

As for Ade, think it depends on whether Besiktas get clearance to play in Europe. Don't fear though, we have OBIKA!!! <laugh>

£5m!?!? Levy must have keeled over and died.

What do u mean by that?

As in we have been screwed, or they have?

I think that's reasonable considering how little he's played and the injury he's had.

John Bostock has joined Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's Royal Antwerp in the Belgian 2nd division.
Has our connection to Poirot's mates gone too far?

You seem to be forgetting that adebayor also has a poor attitude and an even more extensive track record of it. Every club he's been at, he's had 1 good season with and then been very disappointing. - hence why he's moved around so much. Not to mention he earns a fortune and isn't worth 1/4 of his wages. Too many make excuses for him all the time. We will see very little from him now and the club knows it, which is probably why he's been offered to besiktas.

I'm not saying remy is a golden boy, but his performances on the field have been pretty good, so that in itself is a step up from adebayor. He's not an ideal signing, but IMO he's worth a 6mill punt as I think he'd work we'll for us and we have to remember how much we're being quoted for other strikers. - at least someone like remy gives us a fresh option, where as we currently know what we've got and we've all stated. how in satisfied we are.
There's no harm in us trying till the end of the window to get a big player in, but we should have a back up plan in case it falls through. - otherwise bale is going to have to go up front next season!

First, I would have taken Remy for 6 million, particularly since we're short strikers, and his record overall is good.

IMO, two opinions about Ade are common on this board: strongly anti- and cautiously pro-. Speaking from the cautiously pro side, I ought to begin by saying that Ade had the kind of year which drove fans up a wall last year. Negotiated hard, showed up late, apparently out of shape, got injured and didn't score. If you're pretty tolerant, and I am, you might not hold all that too much against him, but the way he dithered and then left for the Africa's cup is very hard to explain, forget or forgive.

Having said that, I disagree with some of your points. While it's fair to call his career checkered, he hasn't had one good year, then been disappointing everywhere he went. He had one great year at Arsenal, followed by two good ones (16 goals, 7 assists; 14 goals, 6 assists). He only scored one for Man City in his second year, but only played in 8 games. Really it's just at Spurs that he went from very good to producing very little.

Spurs this year have got some fantastic players. Bale might be the third best player in the world, Jan might have had the best year of any CB last year, and Sandro might have been the best DM while he played. Other areas, obviously, are not as strong. There's nothing wrong with picking up Remy, but if you make him your number one striker, you're making a statement of lack of intent to your own fans, your sponsor and your star, when now is not the time to do that.

The best word to describe Adebayor is checkered, true enough. But at least he's a top talent, started for Real for a while, etc. He was also the lone striker for most of the games where Bale went on his great run. Most would say Ade had nothing to do with that. I say never change a winning game. And that's another point. People talk about our team as if it was so so last year, when in fact it would have been pushing for second minus two terrible runs of injury and the early season chaos. When we started with something like our first team, even minus Sandro, we did so well that I wonder how wise it is to make major changes.

I think he is a much better player than £5m. As a comparison Jamie O'Hara had injury issues (back) and was nowhere near as good as Tommy and he went for £5m. Also, transfers are more expensive now.
