Never really played in a winger position in the Eredivisie. Always in a attacking midfielder role or a centre forward, mostly supplying the target man with balls, passes and sometimes a cross. He is fast but nothing too outstanding on that. His agility and flexibility is more notable, his movement and positioning are fantastic and he has a very good eye on how to put the ball behind the defence or create space. His vision and tactics are excellent as well, he really has a good eye on how to set up a good attack. His mentality is his weakness. Bit complacent and he lacks a bit of determination if he is out of his depth. When he has a bad day he tends to sob on the pitch and at Twente it sometimes affected the team. When he or Tadic where playing below their level they dragged the entire team down as well. Might be because he is just 23, bit young but still. He is very experienced in the Eredivisie but he is injury prone, had a couple of surgeries and very bad injuries in the last three seasons. He is in similar to Sneijder: small physique, brilliant passing, tactics and vision, but on a bad day he can take the rest of the team down with his demeanour.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ope-in-chase-for-Real-Madrid-s-Jese-Rodriguez Jese Rodriguez: Linked with a £10million move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Jese Rodriguez admits he is not certain to stay at Real Madrid due to a lack of first-team chances. The Spanish winger was one of the stars of this summer's Under-20 World Cup and impressed last season with 22 goals in Real's B team. But Jese's contract runs out in June 2014 and that has sparked speculation he could be on the move this summer. And the 20-year-old confesses he would not necessarily want to remain at Real due to his uncertainty over potential opportunities under new boss Carlo Ancelotti. "I want to play, and I don't know if I'll get many minutes in the Real Madrid first team," Jese is quoted as saying in the Spanish media. Earlier in July, Jese had revealed he planned to hold discussions with Real to establish what his future holds. "I don't know what the club wants with me. I assume they will want to offer me a renewal but I don't know what I will do. I'm not going to lie about it," he told Marca before Spain U20s' exit at the hands of Uruguay in Bursa on Saturday night. "I am calm about my future. I've had a good season and I'm doing well at the World Cup now. I'm relaxed. "Once the World Cup is over, we'll open talks to discuss my future."
Also, apparently when chadli visited, there was another player who "will be tougher to sign", that also came to the training facilities. According to the twitter source, it's likely his club knew nothing about the player's visit. Sounds like a big name player..
It's been like that for weeks apparently. I agree, I have no idea what that means?! The twits are saying that there's some finer details to sort out, but it's pretty much there. However, technically still not done.
This is exactly the kind of rumour I don't believe! Remember the Huddlestone saying "You wont believe whose just walked into the training ground?" And last year's "I work in the Spur's shop and have been told to print 1000's of extra number 9's, all I've been told is he's Spanish."
If and it's a big if we do sign Villa then what a great bit of business to start the transfer window with. It shows real intent to push on from the disappointment of last year. Sign another striker and a creative midfielder and it will be job done. Will be intriguing to see who Arsenal sign as they have been very quiet so far just linked with a load of players.
Thanks, but quite a bit different to my post. The only real match is that they also mention Holtby...
Tancredi Palmeri and Guillem Balague have both tweeted saying that Villa is going to Ath. Madrid. Another one bites the dust. Apparently personal terms were agreed with us, yet that's another striker we've missed out on. Edit: early suggestions saying it was over the fee and we didn't offer enough.
From Tancredi Palmeri: "Villa to Atletico for 3 years for 2.1m €. 2m added if stays next year, 1m added if will stay after. Barcelona will get 50% of next transfer"
this one looks like he's genuinely chosen to stay in spain, and it's not about the fee at all. Not much we can do about that. That's a real shame. Unfortunately a top player is going to cost us now. end of.
