So he saw it and dealt with it. Surely that means he is incompetent as he didn't deal with it correctly. Even Howard Webb claims it's a red card offence. Alright let's give Clattenburg the benefit of the doubt. A yellow will suffice. Oh wait-not even.
 
As we all know though, people have been sent off for doing exactly the same thing. So what happens if the are sent off again and then appeal based on the fact that it wasn't a red card in this case? Obviously precedent doesn't count with the FA, nor does the idea of being consistent. They don't care, or more likely the idea of not being consistent makes it much easier for them when the refs favour "certain teams" in an inconsistent manner.
 
To be honest I don't care...they are not a direct rival so their results do not effect us. If they had been playing City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or United then I would have preferred him not to be banned as being banned would only have helped them.
I was annoyed on Saturday as in my opinion he should have been sent off. I think the lack of media coverage was a joke as well.
Finally, if I were a Sunderland, Leicester, Hull, Swansea or Palace fan I would be well annoyed that a rival was not punished.
 
Not surprised one bit that Valdes isn't going to be dealt any retrospective action... He wasn't wearing a Spurs shirt on Saturday.

Forgot to mention, not sure if those of you could hear it when watching at the time but down in Park Lane, Kyle Walker FINALLY had a proper chant made for him.

Initially over the years, perhaps maybe once or twice a season if he was lucky, Kyle would get a "Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Da Da Da Dada Da Da Daaa" To the tune of 'Proclaimers - 500 miles' but a group in the crowd got that going along with a little verse which was sung for a solid 10 minutes.

So it went:

"And I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to see the man who scored from 40 yards against the Arsenal

Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Kyle Walker, Da Da Da Dada Da Da Daaa"

Cheesy, I know, but it's about time he got some proper recognition from fans.

It says something about the state of our club right now that when I think of how much my love of Kyle Walker has grown I then straight away think of about 3, 4, 5, 6 other players I feel that way about. And I make no bones about the fact that I think our manager is *very* good. So good that I certainly think there's a much stronger argument these days to say Levy's sacking of Redknapp has been vindicated even though the immediate aftermath was a couple of years of bollocks (plus Bale).

Think it's just stemming from the fact I mentioned last night that Walker now finally has a song about him, it's only taken us about 7 or 8 years to get it sorted <laugh>.

Providing they keep up their current form, it's Walker or Wanyama for our POTS award in my opinion.

Neither of them will get anywhere near the Premier League award, either.
Interesting to see who's nominated this season, as most of the best players have been defensive, in my opinion.

Hmmm, those two must be serious contenders for POTS, at least within the Spurs squad.
