I can see this, though no Holtby or Caulker may be a little surprising. The idea here may be that it's a mistake to take the foot off the gas. You think you can ramp it back up but it often doesn't work that way. (There's a long history in the NFL of teams playing weakened lineups in the meaningless last game or two before the playoffs after they've clinched their spot. More often than not, they lose against teams that had been going full bore in the same period.)
(edit) I'd rather have the win against Liverpool on Sunday as well, but it looks like we're playing them today!
