Very true but how does that work Hiag? It’s always the gaffer who gets it because that is easier than dumping many players.
I've been wondering for a while whether the selection of Harry Kane in the CL Final has poisoned the well? He wasn't fit and our best player at that time, Lucas, started on the bench. It was a massive, avoidable mistake and everyone knew it except Mauricio Pochettino. I've struggled to forgive him for it but part of me never will. Most of our players won't ever get near such a game again and they know that our chances were shot before we started. I can see that level of favouritism and poor decision making resulting in resentment towards the coach..."We had a shot to win the big one and by repeating a familiar mistake, we ****ed it totally." It's still happening, with Lucas repeatedly left out when he's painfully much better than Lamela, Alli, Kane et al, right now.
What is it with Poch and Lucas. Poch doesn't seem to like him.I'm sure he'd be a first pick elsewhere!
Part of me is beginning to believe that Poch won’t take any back-chat from the players. Perhaps the likes of Rose, Moura, Vertonghen and Eriksen have done that.
In Poch's first season it was the decision to play Kane, Mason and Dier that stirred the team out of the fug that came from the likes of Adebayor, Vapour and Kaboul not bothering We need to consider doing this again, because at first it was Eriksen and Rose who were lethargic, but Verts and Toby are starting to show similar signs - and with Lo Celso and Sessegnon injured, would we really be worse off with Tanganga, Bowden, Skipp or Harvey White on the pitch?
This^^^ Coupled with the fact that Poch said he would have left if we won it Meaning? He can’t do no more with this bunch. Meaning? He doesn’t have faith in them Therefore players heads gone
Fraudiola regularly talks about his plans for when he leaves The Sheikh Mansour Team and their players aren't sulking their way to defeat
That’s very true aswell. Maybe the City players think that Pep can say these things because he’s a serial winner so can back it up
I don't think you should torment yourselves by taking the words of Pochettino in a press conference as gospel. He is obviously slightly pissed off with the Eriksen questions and is prone to winding the press up. It's maybe more, stop asking me questions I can't answer.
There are suggestions that because he wasn't a Mauricio Pochettino choice, he doesn't want to play him. Also, he gives the ball away by running at defenders, which is a no-no for our manager. To his credit, he does that when he's trying to avoid going backwards and sideways, as our other players seem content to do. He doesn't seem to fit our style of play.....the problem is that it's that which is wrong, not Lucas' game.
