Yeah, we need a proper body up there. Mourinho's had us playing much more direct since he arrived but we haven't been doing it tonight as we have no presence up top. Eriksen's been a spare wheel at times, running around but barely involved, We need him dropped deeper to get play going and I'd take Lucas off for Parrott. Taking a weakened side to Bayern is a dangerous game and it could get very bad for us in the second half. That said, I'll take the embarrassment if it comes, there are players out there who need minutes and the result in this match makes no difference to our season.
Given that this is a completely scratch team up against a nearly full strength Bayern, I wouldn't read too much into it. We're getting killed in too many areas to assess that much.
I've been impressed with Sess and Foyth is just so composed on the ball it's a delight to watch. Both FBs simply not good enough, Dier and Sissoko lack the positional discipline to maintain any semblance of structure in the middle of the park, and our attack is far too lightweight to be effective. Most of our chances have come from crap Bayern defending.
