My bad! I read it as you were singling Eriksen out whilst seemingly giving Toby a free pass - which is something too many Spurs fans on social media seem to be doing of late. 90% of twitter are still tweeting him to sign a new deal whilst equally calling Eriksen a **** or something along those lines, just doesn’t add up to me. I respect Eriksen more for being honest and not putting on a fake persona. Anyway, apologies brother. But go ahead with that flounce off, we’ll all be better for it
I would play Gazza in goal. His fitness won't be affected given he's not running around the pitch, and it will be good for him to enhance his CL experience. There is pride to play for so I would agree that some experienced players should be involved in some capacity to stand alongside the inexperienced. But I would hope Kane, Son, Dele, and Sissoko are rested and play everyone else.
Playing Gazzaniga shouldn't be much of a risk, but an injury to him or a suspension would really screw us. I'd assume that Mourinho's got a better idea of the state of Vorm and Lloris. He should base his selection on that.
I won't be able to get the game, but I notice they will be showing City,Knotty Ash,Juventus and Barcelona. So I guess we are not expected to go far....again!!!!?
It's a dead rubber, so expect both teams to be quite experimental, but I doubt that we will play all the kids as that would be unfair on them - Have so far not tried to 2nd guess Jose but this is my take on a team for tomorrow Austen, KWP, Foyth, Sanchez, Rose, Skipp, Eriksen, Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Lucas and Parrot - 4-1-4-1
Son, Sessegnon, Alderweireld, Moura, Austin, Whiteman, Skipp, Parrott, Tanganga, Walker-Peters, groundcrew (TF?). Foyth, Eriksen, Sanchez, Sissoko, Wanyama, Lo Celso and, er... someone else. No Kane, Vertonghen, Dier, Rose, Aurier, Alli, Winks, Ndombele (those two are probably injured).
Club confirmed Dele, Kane, Jan and Aurier have been left behind. Usual suspects still out injured (including Tanguy and Winks). Hopefully Gazza, Toby, Dave, Dier, Lucas and Son are on the bench and not the XI, although I reckon Gazza will play, which in theory won’t be a problem but with us being Spurs it’s more or less guaranteeing he’ll manage to headbutt the crossbar, get concussion and miss a week or two now.
Evening Standard claiming that Kane hss the hump at not going cos it hinders his chance of winning the CL golden boot.
When I was a lad London had three evening papers Star, Evening News, and Evening Standard. The worst was the Standard.
Good. He can take out that frustration in the next round of the CL. And at Wolves on the weekend. And every other game for the matter.
