What a game, mental, just watched high lights on you tube, I'm exhausted and I'm not even a spurs fan! Love the pictures of pochettino at the end there, incredible! And the Ajax players lying on the ground, the only time they were behind in the whole tie was the 96th minute of the second leg. What a way to win!

I'm feeling quite humbled this morning being part of an elite group of English clubs to have achieved the final of the CL and its predecessor The European Cup. Man Utd, Liverpool,Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and now Tottenham Hotspur.
And Arsenal. Need to win it to have a better record than them.

Edit - what Alfie said.

So boys. Harry kane hopes to be fit for the final. Do you reckon he will start and do you want him to start?

To be honest on this, he rarely comes back from injury in top form. I would like Moura Son and Alli to be given first go and maybe bring him on with 20m to go against a tiring defence. I wouldn't pick Moura as a reward but because he is on fire at the moment. Son's very recent form is more worrying.

According to trippier Harry Kane was in the dressing room at HT tearing into the team and firing them up , this man has been the most consistent striker in the prem for the last 4 seasons and for that reason alone yes I want him in the team if fit. Should we get a penalty there is another reason
A certain duo want him sold f**I knows why he must have kicked their dog at some time.....

Now the dust has settled a little, albeit my head is still spinning, I've had time to process that incredible game.... a little.

It was truly the old cliché of a game of two halves. Whilst we had moments in the first half and a few half chances, I always felt Ajax had us under control. With the two goals scored, I think we can all agree that our exit from the CL was inevitable.

Then at half time, Poch pulled a masterstroke...

He knew that our midfield was being overran but we needed goals. So bolstering the midfield was futile. Solution? Take the midfield out of the equation and put on Llorente - who was sublime. In control and knew exactly what his job was. Every ball that went up to him bypassed the Ajax midfield entirely. His hold up play and deft headers allowed our forwards to advance and suddenly, this young Ajax defence were being turned and pulled out of position.

No, it wasn't total football. At times it wasn't pretty but heck, it was bloody effective.

The best workers have a set of tools that can be used in a variety of scenarios,
and do not suffer from "if all you have is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail"
syndrome. To believe there is only one way to solve all problems is hubris.

Llorente was signed to pose a different problem to opposition than Kane does.
His only real failing has been the number of goals he has scored (although in
his defence he has not really had regular/decent competitive game time during
his time at Spurs) .

Talking of penalties we are going to have to be very careful how we tackle a certain player in or near the penalty area in the final.

Talksport2 doing a re run of the 2nd half commentary at midday

I’m tuning in...this time it won’t be like a fuzzy weird trippy what the hell is happening I’m going to die one way or another kind of feeling...now I’m going to absorb every pass

Of course there had to be bad news as well. Vertonghen left the stadium on crutches. Will be a doubt for the final.

I remember us playing with Llorente and Moura upfront during some of our pre-season games and they seemed to really hit it off. I'm surprised we haven't done it more often this season.
