Cheers mate. We had a 7 month drive around 'Italy' 2 years back when we were due to leave France and return to the UK. We drove from home in Nice all the way down the west coast and stopped off in Pisa, Florence, Rome, Pompeii, et. (Mrs Smug let me fly back from Florence, and leave her alone for 3 days, when Gordon Armstrong got me tickets for the first derby 3-0.) We were due to get to the bottom of Italy and come back up the east coast. But when we arrived we could see Sicily across the straits and we thought we'd 'pop over' just to say we'd been. We ended up touring the whole island, for 2 months, and ended up taking the ferry to Sardinia then Corsica. So this time we're driving down to Lecce, on the heel, all along the coast then back through the interior. We've found a delivery to Bari and a collection, to go to London, to help with the costs. It's about 4000 miles round trip and that's a lot of fuel & tolls. There's only half a van load to come back and even with our mountain bikes etc there'll be room for some wine tec if anyone wants owt
