When they played at Ayresome Park it was easy for them to mug you.
I was quite looking forward to my first visit to the riverside.
What a disappointment!
Built on industrial wasteland in the middle of nowhere that wouldn't be out of place in a Mad Max film.
Went for a piss at half time.
The bogs had two ends - deep & deeper.
I have no love for Boro at all.

And if finishing above Newcastle was reeeaaaally important we would have obviously getting out of second gear against Arsenal, turned on the style and giving them the mother of all hidings, instead of given them a football lesson on how to defend.

Hey, I hope you don't include me in 'turncoat', man. I was just born an honest man and I'll die one. When we stuff them in the derbies I feel bloody great. But if they finish above us, the time to do something about it was six months ago, not now. If they've finished above us, then so be it. I'll stand up and say so. We're not helping ourselves by whining over it. We're just making ourselves look small here.

I only posted this thread up in jest/slightly drunk! Quite frankly the whole top dog thing is (as I have said before) akin to who has the least smelliest ****. Neither of us have had a particularly amazing season. I can only hope things will get better next season...

The thing is QWOP we`ve been expecting you to finish above us for the best part of 6 months. The lead your lot had over us at Xmas should have been unassailable. No way should it have got as close as it did.

Ashley gambled and came within a whisker of losing.

You`re right though, there`s very little to choose between us crap wise.

The way things are, if Boro come up they might finish higher than both of us and we can`t be doing with that.

Completely agree with that mate. We were fifth from the drop and you did one place better on the last day - wow! Bully for bloody both clubs. It's time the north-east started to be the north-east again. Jesus, we've eight championships between us (mostly ours) and eight FA Cups (mostly yours). What the hell happened to the days when Shack would bugger about because he had too much brilliance not to enjoy himself and Milburn could hit the finest FA Cup Final goal ever from whatever distance it took?.They took excellence all in their stride. Okay, I will give credit to Newcastle for finishing above us. But the bottom line is we both ought to be bloody ashamed of ourselves. The NE used to be called 'The Hotbed of Soccer'. And look at the buggers now.

No no no no lads... Top Dogs is all that matters, and I don't say that just because we pulled three points out of our arses against traffic cones wearing West Ham shirts yesterday...

Let's be honest, neither club is going to win something in the near future (Sunderland got the closest). We're both utter ****e. "Top Dogs" is all that matters, because for the next few seasons, it'll probably determine which one stays up and which doesn't!
