Also forgot
Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Temple of the Dog
Moist

Someone said that in the last 20 years there has been very little released that is 'different'... Here you go, formed 1993, but only really got success in the 00's.

That is an epic song, the wole album is amazing, love Helden with the guy from Rammstein aswell (another different band).

I'll have a listen to that later, at work:emoticon-0110-tongu
Have to agree that is a top album like.

I'm also at work, but doesn't stop me from listening <laugh>

Lucky bugger!! :emoticon-0105-wink: I'll just have to make do with me iPod, I have plenty of random shizz on there.

Including a band i didn't mention, god knows how i forgot them, they are ****ing IMMENSE!! Static-X :emoticon-0178-rock::emoticon-0178-rock::emoticon-0178-rock::emoticon-0178-rock::emoticon-0178-rock::emoticon-0178-rock:

Always had you down as a Led Zeppelin fan... Not sure why :emoticon-0114-dull:

I do love a bit of classic zepp, infact most of the top 5 lists on here have at least one band whose music I like...can't go wrong with Radiohead, Joy Division, Smiths, Metallica (pre-1990 of course), Cure etc. Some of the recent pop-rock outfits are competent enough musically but a bit bland, uninspired and derivative for me (Muse, Snow Patrol etc)

but my true love is definitely electronica. and of course, a bit of old skool & techno. This weekend's clubbing includes Luke Slater on Friday and Altern8 on Saturday. get in!

One of my faves from the 70's, saw them on the original Rattus and No More Heroes Tours and used to cover some of the songs in the band I played in at the time, never the same for me after Hugh Cornwell left.

Agreed. I've seen them live three times and the last was without Hugh Cornwell. The crowd got restless and started shouting out to hear the old classics because they were playing alot of the new post-Cornwell material. Eventually the new lead singer jumped into the crowd and headbutted somebody, spent the rest of the gig with the guys blood all over his face and shirt. Gig got better after that. Awesome band, sorely missed!

Few more announcements for Download festival today (before the (allegedly) BIG announcement tomorrow).
Duff McKagen's Loaded - Quality band. If for nothing else you get to see a G'n'R original!
Trash Talk - Hardcore Punk, I think the lyrics are far too screamed, doesn't suit it. But they have been touring with Cancer Bats, so I'm hopeful on them!
Down - Southern Metal, or as i like to call it, Kentucky Fried Metal. Good band, worth a listen.
And the big one... *DrumRoll*
Twisted Sister! 80's glam! Will have to see them just for the sake of it!

EDIT: TS are clashing with A7X, **** that!!

I saw Twisted Sister when I was 9 years old in Austin Texas back in 1983 :)

First ever gig!

For a band that's 'different' (not neccessarily musically as they remind me of darkness/Queen) then check out Foxy Shazam...

Shamelessly flambouyant rock, but very boppy n cheery...We were at Leeds Fest this year, My mate was, let's say, experimenting with inebriation, ended up getting separated from the rest of us
n wandered into the tent where they were playing, he thought it was all part of a trip, as their singer kept doing all sorts of bizzare stuff...
