Cool! You have a favourite jazz artist? Yeah I absolutely love music and spend almost all my free time getting to know more and more, picking a top 5 would be impossible in reality!

What Blues, swing & Jazz artists are you into mate?
Absolutely love the blues - used to go to this buskers night in Leeds full of old blues musicians, one who used to own a club in Redcar that had a who's who of blues play there back in the day and he'd jammed with them all!

Also for anyone into classical music, I love the works of Ludovico Einaudi, well worth a listen to some of his albums.

Saw Louis Armstong in Newcastle but he didn't come over all that well live, was a bit dissapointed with him. Like Charlie Parker, Desifinado with Stan Getz and that kind of thing.

Look up Blind Willie Johnson, seminal bottleneck guitar playing, died in poverty, also I really like John Martyn and Rory Gallagher both RIP, actually crewed a Rory Gallagher gig at Leeds Uni about 30 years ago!

Pachelbel's Canon is probably my favourite classical piece.

Always liked Glenn Millers music, even as a kid before my musical tastes were determined.

Ah you hit it with Pachelbel's Canon, a quite sublime piece of music, I love rock and heavy rock but sometimes you just have to sit and listen to the classical masters.

    Little Geordie

Breaking Benjamin - Firefly is a quality tune...Reminds me of being 16 bombing about with fake IDs and too much gel in my hair!

Biffy are unreal live! Played the last day of Leeds this year, I was hanging so badly I was getting shooting pains from simply standing up, after their 2nd song I was fighting my way, dry wretching the whole time, into the dirty end of the pit they got going!

Don't know if anyone has seen the Subways live, but they are ridiculously good!

I'd also like to honourably mention Mike Skinner/The Streets for his first and second album (3rd n 4th were ****e n don't know if I wanna risk being dissapointed with his 5th) but as a current creative writing student, he is an incredible lyricist and stupidly inteligent!!!

Have you ever heard of Eric Bibb, it's more easy listening than real old grimey blues, but quality voice and has played the sage a fair few times!
