We will but I was counter balancing your negativityYou said we'd come 1st
Has anyone mentioned the fact we are mathematically guaranteed European football? Top 7 in the bag as things stand. A point needed to seal top 6 & for Simon Jordan to hand over £1000 to a charity of Jim White's choosing![]()

Its also far from impossible that arsenal beat Newcastle ... then all of a sudden every games a cup final
Check the odds again if Liverpool win the next 2 and newcastle lose to Arsenal.
What's likely is different to what is guaranteed.
Sounds like mental gymnastics to me CC.
The fact we've won 8 of the last 9, and massacred just about every team, suggests rather than being a bag of nerves, we're a team full of confidence that will easily get the points required.
We're slight favourites to beat Arsenal, then clear favourites in all the rest of our games.
We're lucky in that Brighton are significantly off the pace and have left it to late, they would have been far more of a threat than Liverpool.
You’re assuming Liverpool win both their next two games and that we lose to Arsenal to then put your hypothesis.Unfortunately I'm the only one not assuming anything mate.

I totally agree it’s not done yet but I would rather be in our position as opposed to Liverpool or Brighton’s. Would you, yes or no?No I'm not I'm saying I think they will or they could.
There's only one group making assumptions and it's the people claiming it's done... it is not done mate.
I'm mathematically and factually correct.
There's no theory you can come up with to prove you're correct in suggesting it's a certainty that Newcastle already have the job done.
I'm afraid I'm mathematically correct and it's not done.
The fact it's not done means I'm able to see why it could go wrong and I just don't feel the necessity to tell myself it can't happen.

Well obviously not cos it's not mathematically confirmed yet.
But the similar facts state we are in a much better place mathematically right now than Liverpool.
Sayin we have a very difficult run in, is your own opinion, and not a fact either. Plus it's an odd opinion given our form and the fact all the sides we're playing are significantly weaker than us, apart from Arsenal, who are on an appalling run right now, and Brighton, who will be a challenge, but they ain't Man City.
Right now shall we all enjoy watching Everton hopefully losing tonight?
Furthermore you can 'think' newcastle will win enough games, but you cannot know they will at this point no matter what evidence you try and find to support it.
I'm seeing the possibilities and have concluded it is not impossible or unlikely that Liverpool could be 3 points behind in a weeks time...
