Here's what might be considered by some (or all) to be a stupid thought . . . .

This virus thingy doesn't like soap, and toothpaste contains soap, I believe :emoticon-0148-yes:

As a layer of protection, would it be a good idea to brush our teeth immediately before we go to Asda (other supermarkets are available) ?

Logically it would work, leaving only our noses fully exposed . . . . a smaller target for the little bastards, therefore reducing the risk :emoticon-0105-wink:

Hopefully this will not lead to the panic buying of Aquafresh (other protection is available) !

I don't mean to trivialise the problem . . . . I just wanted to instil a bit of humour in what is obviously an absolutely brilliant idea :emoticon-0100-smile

n.b. I am completely sober at the moment, so this idea is from me being of sound mind . . . . I think :emoticon-0105-wink:

I read that the other day as the doctor said hd dorsnt kna why more nots been made of this

Tbh mate, anything like this helps, you're right.

We couldn't get hand wipes or antiseptic gel so Mrs Smug kept Listerine in the car for when she's shopped.

She washes her hands with it so we can drive home, at least believing that she's cleaned her hands.

We wash everything we buy then wash our hands again before dumping any wrapping and bags ...

... then wash our hands again.

It's overkill but definitely better than underkill.

I found myself washing the taps that I used to wash my hands, then washing my hands then ... worryingly it's became a never ending ritualistic endless loop. Reckon I'll need some therapy once this is all over. :headbang:

I missed out the bit where, when all my routine is done, I wipe down the steering wheel and gear lever with bleach ...

... I didn't want people thinking I was nuts.

I have never been so fastidious and it's not a trait that I'm enjoying tbh ... My hands feel as soft and clean as Nanette Newman's during the 80's
 
i wash my cans of beer which i am on right now ( carlsberg 7.5) in dettol plus my hands christ i am turning into Howard hughes ! there is a bloke who drank ' hill billy iffy moonshine' drink and said was cured of corona. Bitter lemon has quinine in it good for malaria and cider vinegar burns sugar away etc and is amazing. one bloke drank fish tank cleaner though and died sadly, i want to go out in stile pissed as a fart not with that poxy virus.

I get what you're saying. It's probably worth dying on a stile just for the comedy factor.
