It's revenue based... The rules mean the big 6 are essentially allowed higher sponsorships anyway because they have higher revenues. They hide that unfairness behind the term 'fair market value'..

Newcastle therefor cannot have the same size deal as man city.

Thought you guys would be happy with this. Essentially means Saudi gov can now argue their case to sponsor you guys for ridiculous money - won’t have free reign which is a good thing, but it’s a half way compromise where won’t be thrown out completely and as long as saudi gov can argue why sponsoring more than other companies would offer then would be allowed.

Essentially will just argue, yes X is only offering 40m but to us this sponsorship is with £80m because Newcastle are a big club already in Saudi with a lot of following compared to a competitor looking to sponsor for 40m

It depends really... We don't know enough information.. All we know is apt2 is in place and no longer being challenged.

I can't even enjoy football anymore because of all the **** going on with financial rules and VAR... It's become political, so just accepting it.

Knowing Newcastle United we will go in saying stuff like this with a big fat ****ing grin on our faces, nudging and winking at the blokes next to us like "heh, you know, heh" and it will be thrown out instantly.

Not the same but similar. If they can get the proposed £1B ten year stadium deal it’s hard to argue that £750M for us is unfair. It’s still more than most could get and £750M more than we currently get.
Ultimately though it’s another way for the EPL to fix the clubs at the top. It’s time the Saudi’s challenged some of this legally

It would be above fair market value for Newcastle. I'd like to see pif challenge them, but I guess they're just happy with the business growing and will only challenge if it becomes detrimental to nufc.
 
Nuno sacked and replaced by the Aussie Growler, that theory of winning stuff in his 2nd season is gonna be put firmly to the test now.

I think Nuno really shot himself in the foot. He clearly wanted out and has got his way.

Ange at Forrest is going to be prime entertainment though.
