Anyone else watching the Women’s World Cup? Was a bit disappointing until today when the Philippines Women’s Team (or the Manila Bar Girls as they are nicknamed) scored their first ever World Cup goal and beat New Zealand.

They do seem to have a remarkable number of female experts and presenters. Thought it was a bit sexist to not include men when they have started to have women on the men’s football but realised it probably saves them a heap of money as they can pay them less.

BT Sports, now TNT Sports, have appointed a totally women led team of presenters for the football. I was thinking about subscribing til I heard that. Football punditry imo has died.

They are no different to the men - some of them are good, most of them are ****. They do seem to like using the expert jargon though - sick of the word transition now.

Yes - but apparently it also means moving from defending to attacking. Sort of thing Howe had to teach all our players after the Benitez and Bruce years.
Not sure whether the women footballers are checked for hormone levels. Some of the Argentinian players looked very manly and one of the Phillipinos had a throw-in on her like that guy who used to play for Stoke.
