A superior scouting network, a tactically better manager (we are a team that simply does not score enough from set pieces for example), and a few more replacements in key positions would see us in a better position.

None of that would take a decade.

We need better players in this squad and for that the owners need to spend some money intelligently. Not actual big money on ****e we NEVER play. The decision to use 20m on Vlachodimos who has played ONE league cup game for us is absolute criminal.

Then we have the management, our set piece work is league one level at this moment in time. It has been for a concerningly long time and the fact Howe isn't fixing this **** is driving me nuts. We have no dynamism to our play, we go out do the same thing and if it works it works and if it don't it don't.

If we do change it up and lose, we **** the bed and go back to same ol same ol until we win enough games to build up Howes confidence and then BAM rince and repeat.

The way we implement players into the squad is archaic and poor. How many points have we lost out on because of the staggered return of Tonali. Whilst the man was having MOTM performances for Italy we were playing Longstaff whilst Tonali sat on the bench.

There are small changes the club can actually make now that could easily result in us earning 10 - 15 more pts a season and would seriously make a big difference in our final positions in the table, perhaps win us a bit of silverware.
Well said sir. Absolutely all of this.

Im sick of the steady Eddie lovers. He’s an average manager.

The club need to be ruthless and employ people with a winning mentality.

I actually thought Mitchell was that person.

I thought my post was positive... <laugh>

I said we could make changes quite quickly and see improvements.

Wonder how many Newcastle fans are tuning in to the scousers game tonight hoping to see them pick up an injury or two. Jesus, it's ****ing depressing having to pin any shred of hope on **** like that innit?

As much as it pains me to say it, I think we actually need them to win this one but by **** do I want it to be painful, extra time, penalties the lot. We're up against it on Sunday as it is without having a wounded animal to contend with after getting battered tonight.
Absolutely this mate. The full 120 plus. And then some. With a couple of key injuries would be lovely.

How about a really, really, really badly wounded animal, with no legs left?

It won't make any difference because they have a good squad. They won't get any injuries and they'll be at full strength on Sunday.

A wounded Liverpool will not end well for us.

Need them to beat PSG but work till they drop for it. Extra time and pens would be ideal.
