So personal reasons? Sounds like a pretty generic reason any company sends out when someone leaves. It's always either personal reasons or "going on to a new challenge/opportunity' - when in fact its mostly for another reason entirely. (at least, that's how it is where I work)

Agreed. They will want a presence in the Board Room to make sure that their "investment" will work well
Would be a strange way to cut costs, as Davison has increased our revenue and helped cut our spending in other areas.
