I will miss it as it as it defined a time for me and really opened up my scope of knowledge of the club and somehow almost making me feel like I originated from the place in a weird sort of way.

So reminisce with me here about the good, bad, joyous and depressing moments.

I loved the banter of 606 despite my joining during the relegation season so there was alot of. Relegation day was a low point and I admit I did not set foot near the forum for at least a week after.

The rollercoaster of emotions during transfer windows etc. all in all a good place to have been.
 
I won't miss it to be honest. I thought I would but then this came along. We used to be able to have a laugh, but then the mods really took the piss, deleting anything off topic.

Good times were Bassong Day, as well as the whole badger thing and begging the mods for a badger emoticon. I also remember one night where we had a massive party, internet style. Was a fantastic laugh, some stuff that got through was hilarious.

Will also never forget the day that swearing got through moderation. overseas called me a bastard for making up some transfer news and it got through, and then came the next hour or so of people just abusing people with vile language. Hilarious stuff.

Glad we all stayed together, and hope loads more come over from other boards on 606 as it will make match day banter better.

erm nope cant really say much about that over modded site.

I left it ages ago then when I heard it was closing down advertised another forum found this never been back to the other forum I was advertising

Had a right laugh on there, I miss using alternate swear words like shoite and wnaker etc!

Remember when Jonathan Nice started spouting his ****e and made a comment about someone being gay. Someone Googled Jonathan Nice and found some massive gay pornstar! <laugh> He shut up after that.

I made a canny article on the old mackem board as a nigerian scammer trying to sell them tickets to a match, the only time I got a laugh from the mackems on that board (apart from the obvious canny ones, cyprussyd etc).

When we moved over here I got banned by posting on the mackem, Liverpool and Wolves (I think) boards something along the lines of...

"Steven Gerrard..."

...Takes it up the arse.

Discus...

Or

"Niall Quinn..."

...Takes it up the arse.

Discuss...

Worked a treat, got banned in no time. <laugh>
 
The last year of 606 was just pitiful but it's had it's good times, it's celebs in zeTom1, borogully, DavidMoyesWife, Toon4Europe. The era of 'the gentlemen' spreading word of minority sports and roid rage.

I lost patience once the moderation team went overboard, round about when Gerrard assaulted that DJ they removed anything anti-'big4' (but left up **** about Joey Barton).

After making so many articles they banned me for saying the mods suck dick (which considering the BBC is an equal opportunities employer is statistically correct), I made a few other accounts but just gave in when the quality of posts dropped.

The banter was great and to be honest, I loved the whole drama surrounding WUMs, it was so busy and you still managed to have decent banter whilst acting like naughty school children under the watchful eyes of Auntie Beeb.

I will miss 606 but it died long ago.
 
They must have been scousers because you couldn't say a word about SG. They made it seem as if the barman had hit SG's fist with his face.
 
Just to point out, the 'Bassong facts' were previously 'Solano facts' and I'm pretty sure it was Bolton's idea to use the Chuck Norris facts originally (with Kevin Davies). They were Tiote facts this season, who will it be next?
 
that's the one thing i didn't like about this place at first,i couldn't get all my name so had to cut it down (minor quibble) but the way 606 and it's mods were people had to be very creative to get stuff through (remember the long winded disclaimer that used to work).i think the thing with articles getting pulled was more down to little cry baby pissy pants crying to mods and it being the bbc they couldn't take a chance as for those still there hopefully more will come over but i think pretty much all the toon board came over.
 
I was never really a 606 user, just read it from time to time!
Led me hear to you guys and all this though, so gotta be thankful I suppose! <ok>
