I know that the subject has been mentioned briefly elsewhere but if Tom Rowell really believes that 'it is not the policy of the Club to not use Hull City' (as reported in the supporters committee minutes) then surely he must be so out of touch with what is going on at the club that he must be totally and utterly incompetent. Tom then appears to insult the intelligence of supporters by saying 'We do use the nickname Tigers when referring to ourselves, however this is done by many football clubs e.g. Birmingham City (Blues)'. I suspect everyone knows that all clubs use their nicknames on occasions and most fans have no problem with this. The difference is that other clubs (including Birmingham City) use their official name too.

Did someone ask him if they ever use Birmingham City Blues on their website? Because that would be the comparison.

.....or he may be lying through his teeth under instruction from his employers.

This is another issue for the supporters liaison group.
Question: Can the club use Hull City and avoid all other variants in its communications?
Is the answer "Yes we can and we will" or is it "No we can't and we won't"?

This is indeed the comparison, our OWS says 'THE OFFICIAL CLUB WEBSITE OF HULL CITY TIGERS', theirs says 'The official site of Birmingham City Football Club'. The only reference to Hull City on ours is the league table, where's Birmingham's uses it all over the place...

Main header - Birmingham City Football Club
Ticket section - Birmingham City FC Tickets
Team page - Birmingham City FC Team
Articles - An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sports Therapist/Physiotherapist within Birmingham City Ladies
Events - Go behind the scenes at St. Andrew's Stadium - the home of Birmingham City FC.

It's complete bollocks that they do the same as us, as I'm sure everyone on here is already well aware.

No. When you click on news it does say Hull City news. Only time I think

What the hell do you expect. Allam hires and fires who he wants. I would imagine that when he hires they have to sign a clause to tow the allam line. This Tom seems to be just that, a bloody mouthpiece.

I'm sure it's more like "yes we can, but we choose not to"

And on and on...

The only thing they'll understand and feel any sort of pressure from is a proper boycott.

The media would have been all over it if no one turned up for the home games this season and I'm afraid it's only the media that will worry the Allams.

It's all too late now, because next season we'll more than likely be a championship club and no one will care anyway.

It's too late now.

The have had and continue to get bad press.

Thousands are boycotting.

Can't see any signs of change.

I'm saying the boycott wasn't anywhere near enough 'unattended'?

What with Premier League ****ers and all that.

Not everyone who goes and watches City lives and breathes football- witness the Poles, students etc who just see is as summat to do. Many in the national media think we are a small club who get small gates anyway.
A bit like all these people urging some sort of staking out of Allam's house in Kirkella or his business in Melton, talk is cheap.

It's years too late. The only time for effective action was at the very start of all this - the day they announced the name change proposal. Those that said "its their business they can do what they want" or "they are successful businessmen they know what they are doing" are the reason it's still ongoing. They were the ones that gave the Allam's the green light to do whatever they like to the club. ****s, every one of them.

It's not up to the trust to deal with this mess, it's not up to any supporters organisation. It's up to every Hull City fan.

Don't ****ing go and you'll see the end of the Allams.

How will that work?

Matchday gate receipts are only a small percentage of annual revenue.
I can't see the Allams beung shamed out of Hull City, they seem very thickskinned.
I think you are wrong.
