In Tom Eaves defence. The lad is game.He's not the most talented footballer we've ever seen and Tom himself would recogise that. I think it's a shame that he gets such a hard time from some quarters because as long as he wears the shirt for us he will give 100%.
Nowt personal against the lad, and I'm sure he does try his best .. but sadly while in a City shirt he has just been poor and that is being polite !

If it saves a couple of lives in Bulawayo then it's absolutely fantastic news.
Don't get me wrong mate. I agree. He's a poor footballer. What I respect about the lad is that he tries and does his best. I can't say the same about a lot of players who've worn the shirt. All I'm saying is that it isn't big Tom's fault, it's those that pick him who are to blame.
I suspect the system we play doesn't suit him either and of course that's lead to his confidence disappearing, but from what I've seen not sure how good he could be .. very limited mate.
I agree completely. It's not always about skill and talent, always was my point. Sometimes you get talented players that I wouldn't leave the lickings of a dog and then there are lads with less ability who deserve total respect. Give your all is all we ask.
